XIX. Yüzyıl Osmanlı Eğitim Sisteminde Yaşanan Değişim

There was a successful education system of the Ottoman Empire. This system couldn’t maintain its quality for failing to meet the terms of the time period in this system. Statesmen didn’t interfere with the classical education system of that time by taking political balances into consideration. Preperations were made for western-style new schools that were appropriate for reforms made in political area. Innovations made in II. Mahmut periodand Tanzimat Reform era acquired a new dimensi on with the 1869 Statue on General Education. In that planned and programmed new system, the State started to embody strenght and the biggest responsibility. Importance given to education also in I. and II. Constitutional Period not only enabled a new and rising generation to be brought up but also formed the preliminary preparations of the reforms of Republic Period
