Bei Depressiven ist es, wie oben gezeigt, das private Selbst, das narzißtisch besetzt ist. Dies bedeutet aber nicht, daß sie sich darin geborgen fühlen. Vielmehr ist ihr Rückzug von der Welt mit Schuldgefühlen verbunden, die durch eine extreme Außenanpassung kompensiert werden. Grillparzer ist hierfür ein prägnantes Beispiel, wobei wir uns insbesondere auf das biographische Material von Scheit (1989) stützen, sowie auf Kürnberger (1872), Nadler (1948), Kleinschmidt (1967) und Frederiksen (1977). ..

In diesem Working Paper soll die Rolle des Mittelmeers in mittelhochdeutschen Erzahlungen exploriert werden. Im Fokus stehen dabei der Alexanderroman und der Herzog Ernst , anhand derer das Verhaltnis von Mittelmeerraum zum fabelhaften Raum am Rande der Welt diskutiert wird; Wolframs von Eschenbach Willehalm und das Rolandslied , die als Beispiel fur die Bearbeitung der Kreuzzuge und die transmediterrane Kulturbegegnung in der erzahlenden Literatur des Mittelalters betrachtet werden; sowie der Minne - und Aventiureroman Mai und Beaflor , der von der Trennung und Wiedervereinigung zweier Liebender handelt, deren Reise sie durch den Mittelmeerraum fuhrt.

A lonely cry of a crow makes the watcher of a film suspect some kind of upcoming danger. Where this connection between crows / ravens and negative atmospheres or happenings in films and TV-sequels comes from, may be discovered by the comparison of historic and modern cultural phenomena. From Celtic and Nordic mythology to biological research these birds and death go together. The scavenger becomes an omen and companion of death, magic, witches and even gods, as well as a bringer of visions and supernatural knowledge. In films these roles are quoted and used, most of the time for the creation of ambience. These birds are mainly used in genres like Horror and Fantasy, but also in Comedy. Although here the revealing of their functions (ambience creation, companion of the supernatural and or death, etc.) is used as a funny element.
