Action Research and Systemic Practice
Systems Thinking for Systems Making: joining systems of thought and action2019 •
A common use of systems thinking (ST) is for guiding our practices of systems making (SM). One style of ST for SM centers on making designs with deterministic rules, as in the hard sciences, for guiding engineered applications. Another style mimics natural development, with a process by stepwise learning and improvisation to produce evolving designs; examples including architectural design, scientific research, and the practice of action research (AR). All these use exploratory pathfinding to search for better ways to work with reality, and this is the main subject of the paper. Both deterministic and adaptive ST for SM are widely found in differing roles, each having capabilities the other lacks. I start with simple models, such as step-wise improvisation for adapting recipes when making dinner. Another example is Robert Rosen's model for how scientific and other cultures learn to work with nature, by turning attention back and forth between nature and theory for creating their cultural language. A review of the modern history of the systems sciences, as practices of ST for SM, then further broadens the view and context. That leads to introducing a new paradigm of natural systems thinking (NST), using commitments to critical awareness, emancipation, and methodological pluralism for working with natural systems.

The study aimed to determine the effects of animation on Arab adolescents and what the negative and positive effects are, while addressing the role of animation in spreading the different cultures and values it contains. The largest possible number of individuals, 76 valid questionnaires were obtained, and the sample consisted of a group of young men and adolescents, males and females who had prior knowledge of animation, and the most important results were as follows: Most of the sample agreed that the most language they prefer to follow animation in is The Japanese language with 71.1%, followed by foreign languages with 15.8%, then the Arabic language with 9.2, and for the quality of animation that the sample prefers to follow, fantasy ranked first with 81.6%, then action by 73.7%, then romance with 32.9%, followed by horror with a rate of 30.3%, and most of the sample preferences in the platforms used were websites, where the websites platform (netflix, crunchyroll, etc) came first with a percentage of 69.7%, followed by application Mobile phone hits with a rate of 60.5, and most of the sample agreed that animation is a good way to learn and acquire cultures to a large extent with a percentage of 39.5%, and immediately followed by that it can be useful with a percentage of 30.3%, and these were the most prominent positive and negative effects and gratifications achieved from watching cartoons Animation: Positive: The degree of entertainment and entertainment is the highest at 86.8%, followed by the percentage of learning a specific culture or language at 75%, then improving the mood at a close rate of 73.7%, and the least is learning animation skills with a rate of 32.9% Negativity: the most prominent negative gratifications are wasting time by 46.1%, followed immediately by the dissemination of cultures that may not be appropriate by 43.4%, then incitement to aggression by 9.2%, the least of which is causing problems and psychological disorders by 7.9%

Bafra Ovası’nda Yerleşimin Başlangıcı ve İlk Topluluklar Üzerine Öneriler2023 •
The Kızılırmak River, which transforms into a delta in the Bafra Plain, drastically altered the morphology of the coast with the alluviations it carried. Research has shown that the first cultures were clustered in and around the peninsula, which was inserted like a cape into this new plain that formed after the Pleistocene in the Bafra Plain. The problem is when and why the first com-munities came to the Bafra Plain. The number of excavations expected to be carried out to solve the problem is consists only from Ikiztepe; its controversial stratification has caused new questions, not a solution to the problem. How-ever, surveys have pointed to the demographic density in the delta plain, which has given encouraging results for new research targets. The surveys and exca-vations of İkiztepe -although their chronological order is complicated- have presented indirect evidence that the first communities arrived in the region for irrigated agriculture, transhumance, animal husbandry, transportation, natural resources, and security. The current number of known archaeological localities has increased with current research, and their distribution and spread have been remodeled. While the first human traces of the Bafra Plain date back to the Paleolithic Age, the presence of the Neolithic Age was not recorded. Although the current literature suggests that the settlement in the delta began in the Late Chalcolithic Age, it is disputed that there may also have been earlier phases. The material culture doesn’t show a marked shift, which makes the sorting of peri-ods difficult. Our approach is to reimagine the settlement chronology and mod-eling of the Bafra Plain through extensive research outside the region, making new recommendations and achieving provisional results. So we can pave the way for different discussions by presenting the current data we have to the lit-erature.

A strontium isoscape of Italy for provenance studies2022 •
We present a novel database of biological and geological 87Sr/86Sr values (n = 1920) from Italy, using literature data and newly analysed samples, for provenance purposes. We collected both bioavailable and non-bioavailable (i.e. rocks and bulk soils) data to attain a broader view of the Sr isotope variability of the Italian territory. These data were used to build isotope variability maps, namely isoscapes, through Kriging interpolations. We employed two different Kriging models, namely Ordinary Kriging and Universal Kriging, with a geolithological map of Italy categorized in isotope classes as external predictor. Model performances were evaluated through a 10-fold cross validation, yielding accurate 87Sr/86Sr predictions with root mean squared errors (RMSE) ranging between 0.0020 and 0.0024, dependent on the Kriging model and the sample class. Overall, the produced maps highlight a heterogeneous distribution of the 87Sr/86Sr across Italy, with the highest radiogenic values (>0....
