The study was conducted to determine the level of Rejection Sensitivity and Self-Acceptance of Selected Adolescents of Bacoor, Cavite. The study focused on reducing the level of Rejection Sensitivity and enhancing the level of Self-Acceptance utilizing Learn, Enhance, Achieve Program (LEAP) which has been made by the researchers and has been validated by three experts. The participants of the study was composed of nineteen (19) randomly selected adolescents of selected from Bacoor, Cavite. Pre-test and post-test was supported by True experimental research design method and the Learn Enhance Achieve Program (LEAP) was improved by 6 modules developed by the researchers to calibrate the effect of high self-acceptance and to lower the rejection sensitivity level of the participants in the study. To ensure the data gathered, the researchers used statistical tools such as: Frequency Distribution, Aritmetic mean, Kolmogorov- Smirnov test, Dependent t-test and Independent sample t-test, Welch’s T-test, and Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). There is no significant difference in the mean scores of the two groups. The control and experimental group do not differ in initial rejection sensitivity levels however the mean score obtained from experimental group (M = 84.00) is statistically higher than the mean score obtained from the control group (M = 70.00) in terms of self-acceptance thus, null hypothesis is rejected. There is no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test mean scores of the participants from control and experimental group in terms of rejection sensitivity and self acceptance. There is a significant difference in the mean scores of the two groups. The rejection sensitivity post-test mean score obtained from experimental group (M = 7.83) is statistically less than the rejection sensitivity post test mean score obtained from the control group (M = 10.80). From these results it can be deduced that the program has a positive effect on the level of rejection sensitivity of the participants. In terms of self-acceptance, after controlling for the pre-test score, there is a highly significant difference in the self-acceptance post-test mean score between the experimental and control groups. To determine the significant differences of the variances, analysis of variance and Welch F-test were used. Among the hypotheses, hypothesis one and four were rejected while hypotheses two and three were accepted....Read more

She is 24 years old and grew up at Angeles City, Pampanga the Parol Capital of the Philippines. She lived with her father and his second wife and categorically a blended family residing at 323 Alapan 1-B Imus Cavite. She is the third child of her beloved parents, Wilfredo A. Bronola her father and her biological mother Raquel G. Bronola. She is currently taking Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the gracious school of Cavite State University Imus–Campus. This was her second course taken; the first one was Associate in Information Computer Technology at Asian Caregiving Technology and Education Center (ACTEC) graduated in the year 2014 while working part time at Sanford Marketing Corporation. She entered her high school at General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School Imus Main and graduated in 2011. She started her grade school At Mawake Elementary School at Mawaque, Maragul Mabalacat, Pampanga and graduated year 2007. And now her role in this research as an early stage investigator is making her first research application. She is highly motivated to pursue an academic research career. The knowledge needed to carry out the proposed studies began to develop under the mentorship of Ms. Mary Grace Descarga. Her research interests are in social and personality psychology. The Intervention Learn Enhance Achieve Program (LEAP) will assess its effect on the level of Rejection Sensitivity and Self-Acceptance of Senior High School Students of Perpetual University. This will be her first research paper that will be published. John Aldrin D. Cerrera is one of the researchers of this study. He is 21 years old, living with his family and spending joyful times with them. He never let hard times affect him but rather consider these problems as a blessing in disguise that would make the bond of his family even stronger. He is interested in field studies that will contribute to his experiences. It is interesting and mind blowing for him. He spends his free time watching anime, playing computer games and playing music with his guitar. Even though many trials have been through his life, he never let that bring him down. He will not use that as an excuse thus, he will make it a bridge to learn many things and make him a better person. He has high hopes to contribute knowledge for future researchers and students interested in the field of this study. Eizsara-Zsen M. Legaspi was born on the 29th of October, near Halloween of the year 1997. She is 20 years old and was born in Pasay, City Manila. She was raised by her aunt and uncle in a happy home at Alapan Imus, Cavite. She is the second child of her family and living with her 3 siblings, all female. She was brought to this world by Elder Legaspi, her biological father and Clarissa Legaspi, her biological mother. She is currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Psychology in a humble university at Cavite State University–Imus Campus. She had her previous course taken at Technological University of the Philippines, Manila in hopes of undertaking Architecture as a profession but she pursued her dream career to be a future educator in the field of Psychology. She entered a semi-private high school at Del Pilar Academy Imus, Cavite and graduated in the year 2014. She was deeply engrossed in English and started partaking in small contest at her alma mater that resulted to some awards in her cause during her high school days. She had her humble beginnings at Imus Pilot Elementary School Nueño Imus, Cavite and graduated in the year 2010. She has equipped all the fundamental knowledge and skills that will be needed for her first ever research. Her motivation, dedication, enthusiasm, resilience, hard work and thirst for knowledge will help her get across all difficulties along the way. Abby Sapitanan was born on February 7, 1994. She was the youngest of the six children of Fely Casalme and Godofredo Sapitanan. She is currently taking her Bachelor’s Degree on Psychology at Cavite State University Imus, Campus. She was previously employed for three years at a telecommunications company as a human resources assistant but is now a grantee of the Job Experience Program offered by the University which allows her to pursue her studies without paying the institution’s miscellaneous fees. It was her second course after transferring from Asian Institute for Computer Studies wherein she was a Computer Science Student. She started her grade school at Maliksi Elementary School from year 2000 up to 2006 and graduated from Bacoor National High School Tabing Dagat at year 2010. She is highly motivated to contribute further knowledge through this study, in hopes of giving future researchers and students fundamental understanding about rejection sensitivity and self-acceptance.
