Research on audiovisual translation (AVT) has undergone considerable growth in the area of teaching and learning of languages for academic purposes. The interest in this field leads to an increase of research on dubbing, subtitling and, at the same time, on the teaching and learning of linguistic aspects in AVT didactics. These studies are being significantly fostered by computational linguistics, Computer Aided Translation Technology (CATT) and discourse analysis based on multimo-dal corpora of audiovisual documents. Corpus linguistics becomes then a meth-odological assistant for text linguistic analysis and represents, together with elec-tronic resources and software, two basic tools for audiovisual text analysis. In this article we work with a bilingual corpus of subtitles which is distributed in two dif-ferent subcorpora: CORSUBILIN (Corpus de Subtítulos Bilingües en Inglés) and CORSUBILES (Corpus de Subtítulos Bilingües en Español). In so doing, we try to show and develop some of the potential applications that Corpus linguistics has in the study of AVT.
A study of eye movement through eye-tracking would significantly foster research in audiovisual translation and help apprehend the multimodal message in audio-description, dubbing, respeaking and subtitling. The analysis of the multimodal message in a film through eye-tracking could be pertinent for the selection of relevant visual elements in meaning production, in order to avoid the redundancy in editing subtitles and thus help address subtitling space and temporal issues to avoid repeating the same message.
I propose in this paper a project based on a strategy taking into consideration AVT, audiovisual translation and AVI, audiovisual interpreting with their involving difficulties of common core theory and training. This includes a pedagogical and methodological curriculum, PMC based on different approaches related to the theory of Curriculum Design.

Records indicate that a cartoon named "Little Claus and Big Claus" which was telecasted on the 15 was the first Sinhala dubbed televisionprogram visible that the Sri Lankan field of Dubbing Translation has not gained any consequential touch as an entity of academic research. We can witness that the translators involve as qualified in only the language proficiency but not the skills needed for the script writing. "The Jewel in the Palace" (Korea), "Oshin"(Japan) and "Dong Yi" (Korea) are classic examples for re is based on the subtitling script of the Japanese film "100 Sinhala by the author of this research. It is a contrastive analysis of the original Japan the final production. Translating cultural terms, word limit and number of linesin a single frame were challenges as the author lacks the skills and techniques of subtitling. Audio Visual Translation (AVT) is given less when compared to the other forms of literary translations. Many of the translators have not completely realized the complexity of composing a subtitling script or a dubbing script, which seeks an economical use of words and phrases Translators who are involved in Dubbing Translation require special skills and techniques other than the literarytranslators who work on printed forms of literature. As some universities in Sri Lanka offer Translation Studies as a subject, the author recommends increasing the weightage of credits for Audio Visual Translation as a specialized course unit under the Translation Studies for those who are willing to be the translators in dubbing and subtitling fields.

This paper presents the curricular profile of an introductory course to subtitling in a university translation program in Lima, Peru. To this aim, the design elements that lead to its implementation are documented: contents per unit, methodology and evaluation. The paper is expected to evidence the key points of the proposal and to promote the practical application of audiovisual translation didactics

This paper deals with the didactics of subtitling. Its aim is to present a teaching model for "Subtitling 101". The goal of this model is to provide students with basic knowledge about audiovisual translation, subtitling and subtitling software. This course aims to provide students with ability to spot and translate open subtitles for any audiovisual media. The model is based on the competences stated by translation studies scholars as well as on personal experiences. The proposed model can be tailored to teachers' needs.
