This article describes an ongoing series of public arts-based experiments that build critical curiosity and develop data literacy via self-reflexive public interventions. Examined through the lens of remix methodology the Museum of Random Memory exemplifies a form of collective-reflexive meta-analysis whereby interdisciplinary researchers generate immediate social change and build better questions for future public engagement. The experiments help people critically analyze their own social lives and well being in cultural environments of growing datafication and automated (artificial intelligence [AI]-driven) decision-making. Reflexivity, bricolage, and critical pedagogy are emphasized as approaches for responding to changing needs in the public sphere that also build more robust interdisciplinary academic teams.

Lent "immerses us in a bath of purification," the pope said. "It means looking within ourselves and acknowledging our real identity, removing the masks we so often wear, slowing the frantic pace of our lives and embracing the truth of who we are."

The development of proper entrepreneurship for students in order to produce independent and sustainable entrepreneurs is needed because there are many ideas and creativity of students to open a business, but they stop at the last activity of lectures, namely the entrepreneurship bazaar. Problems with limited manpower, timely service, marketing and place of business make their business unsustainable. The purpose of this activity is to develop entrepreneurial programs run by students who are profitable and can create jobs and assist the government in alleviating unemployment and poverty. The result of this Entrepreneurship Development Program activity is that 20 student tenants have been formed.

The purpose of this paper is to find the impact of compensation on job performance and work-family conflict, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and subsequently present a model illustrating a relationship between them. The study is based on primary data collected from 400 employees working in Saudi Arabia. The researchers also do a comprehensive literature review of the past theories and research material available on the specified topic. The illustrated model indicates a relationship between compensation, job performance and work-family conflict by showing the impact of compensation, which is directly and indirectly linked to work-family conflict, through job performance of an employee in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The limitation of the study is that the model is based on data collected from employees working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia only, which could have been collected from other regions of the Middle East countries as well. According to this model, compensation to the employ...

One of the most important parts of a wind turbine is a tower. There are various designs of the wind turbine towers, and they are most often made of steel pipes, lattice towers or concrete towers. In order to increase energy density to meet the growing electricity needs, larger wind turbine projects have been developed. Larger wind turbine towers can generate more electricity, but such large sizes also create higher costs in terms of development and maintenance. This research sets up a model of a wind turbine tower, where the load to the tower is calculated by its relation to the wind velocity. Analytical approach coupled with a finite element method (FEM) is used to analyse the distribution of tower stresses under these loads. The fatigue analysis of the column is performed using the load from its own weight, the weight of the housing and the distribution of the wind velocity. The effects of different loads are also compared. The results show that the main loads of the tower are the...

The weevil Trichobaris compacta occurs in southwest USA where it uses Datura wrightii as host plant and to oviposit into its fruits. Previously, we showed that T. compacta can use 4 other Datura species as host plants also, but the mitochondrial lineages of T. compacta do not appear to be specifically associated to any Datura species. Thus, given that T. compacta is distributed from the southwest USA up to the Tehuantepec Isthmus in the Pacific coast ranges of Mexico, we aimed to determine how the genetic variation of T. compacta is distributed along the geographical space. To determine how geography has shaped the genetic population structure of T. compacta we used a 663-bp region of the COI gene in a sample of 232 individuals from 29 different localities. We detected 49 haplotypes, one of which is widely distributed. The un-rooted haplotype network and phylogeny showed that T. compacta integrates one single lineage. Also, the population genetic structure of T. compacta is made up ...

Asphalt‐modification was studied using two different types of triblock copolymers both with star‐like molecular architecture: poly(styrene‐b‐butadiene‐b‐styrene), SBS, and poly(styrene‐b[(butadiene)1−x‐(ethylene‐co‐butylene)x]‐b‐styrene), SBEBS, to elucidate the effect of the molecular characteristics of the polymer and the polymer‐content on the morphology and rheological behavior of polymer‐modified asphalt, P‐MA. The P‐MAs were prepared using a hot mixing process and characterized using fluorescence microscopy and oscillatory shear flow measurements under linear viscoelastic conditions. Results revealed that the morphology of the polymer‐rich phase and rheological behavior of the P‐MA are dependent on the type and concentration of polymer: (i) P‐MAs prepared with SBEBS exhibited higher dispersion in the asphalt matrix and were more elastic and less responsive toward frequency changes; (ii) P‐MAs prepared with the polymer (SBS or SBEBS) of the larger molecular weight displayed hig...
