Classroom Management

Classroom management is really important in the teaching process. It is one the preliminary things a teacher must do to make the learning process at ease other than motivation and review. Keeping the classroom well organized helps not just the teacher but the students. A well-organized environment boost the interest of students to take part in the learning process. A more spacious classroom makes the ventilation and air passages larger keeping the students and the room temperature at a delicate level. Less spacious classroom tends to have narrow ways which is difficult for teachers and students to pass and may cause accidents if students or teacher trips to something. If I have my own classroom someday, I would like it to look like aligned with what subject I teach. If I will teach computer education subject, most likely I will be spending my time in teaching inside the computer laboratory. I want it to be well organized, spacious, and clean. Before the students enter the classroom or computer laboratory, they should wear their ID and their sweat must be wiped or dried up. Once they will enter the computer laboratory, they will go to their assigned units and sit there. Before they will turn on their computers, they must observe rules within the computer laboratory. First, observe silence. A noisy environment is not conducive in the learning process. Second, students must sit respectively to their assigned computer units. Those students who will sit on other units if not asked by the teacher to do so will be reprimanded. Third, students are not allowed to remove computer parts or peripherals. Once caught by the teacher or any employee of the institution will face severe disciplinary measures. Fourth, students are not allowed to bring speakers to avoid excessive noise inside the room. Fifth, computers must be handled with care. Any defects, errors or hardware complication due to improper use of computers by the students will be added to their miscellaneous fees or must be replaced with the same equipment. Sixth, pornography is prohibited inside the computer laboratory. If caught by the teacher, the student will undergo disciplinary measure aligned with what is written in the handbook. Lastly, when the class is done, students must turn off the computers properly, clean their area, and arrange the chairs before they will leave the premises. On the other hand, if my classroom is not like what I mentioned above, I will simply put some designs on the walls, white or blackboard, and in the bulletin board. Designs like the alphabet, numbers, birthdays, and cleaners are necessary in lower grades like from first grade up to sixth grade. If the classroom is for junior high school or senior high school, just making the classroom neat and organized is enough. During the class or session, students must follow classroom rules. Those rules are necessary to have an orderly and well-conducive environment. Students or pupils are not allowed to run around the classroom and students are not allowed to wander off the classroom during class hours are one of those rules. Overall, classroom management is one of the teacher’s duty. To ensure that all of those who is inside whether it is the teacher, the students, or both are kept safe, feel the loving warmth of a child-friendly classroom, and well organized.
