(MCSMA) Quantitative Research about the Improving the Quality of Computer Laboratory for Senior High School Students of Mount Carmel School of Maria Aurora, Inc. (MCSMA): An Evaluation. This quantitative research study was conducted to improve the quality of computer laboratory for Senior High School students of Mount Carmel School of Maria, Inc. (MCSMA). The aim of this study is to establish the development of computer laboratory to be use by the Senior High School students to help with their research paper and other study purposes. The study used the descriptive method to find some statistical data about their research study. Data were gathered through distribution of questionnaire to the selected senior high school students of Mount Carmel School of Maria Aurora, Inc. (MCSMA) and were statistically analyzed using the frequency and percentage mean. Total enumeration sampling was used in determining the sample population which was 151 Senior High School students. It resulted that the senior high students are favored in using the computer laboratory. The students also agree in developing the computer laboratory and also adding some equipment as they assume that it will be more convenient to comply the requirement inside the school. The students also willingness to add fees for the implementation of internet lab.

ABSTRACT The purpose of my action research was to find out how to deal with distraction of students by ICT tools during teaching process.I conducted this research in G.S St Vincent Pallotti with a particular emphasis on improving the quality of delivering practical ICT courses and improving the classroom management by avoiding distractions that occur during teaching. During this invistigation, I used both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Two questionnaires were administered( one to students , another one to two ICT teachers). Interview was also conducted with head of discipline. With regard to sampling procedures, I used stratified sampling techniques. When choosing the respondents (students), I considered 56% of the total number of students from all three classes in which I was appointed during my internship. Therefore, the total number of respondents randomly selected from each of the three classes was 47. The analysis and interpretation were done by minutely retrieving the information from the questionnaires and interview where respondents responded on their own. The findings provided me with information about the way I should overcome distractions of students by ICT tools during the process of my internship. Based on the results from my research, I decided to reorganise the sitting plan so that I could be able to control the behavoiours during the ICT course delivering. Further, I decided to increase formative assessment by giving quizzes at the end of each course to help the students pay attention as they feared to lose marks during the quiz. Furthermore,I adoptedthe system ofgiving “simple” punishment to distracted students in order to reinforce positively other students who would want to do the same. During my teaching, I also motivated my students showing them benefits of paying attention to ICT course during learning process. I finally adopted the system of counselling thestudents who were disturbing their colleagues. During my internship, i went on to advise school to provide sufficient equipment, tor build an appropriate designed computer room and to set the discipline regulations and making them executed.
