Abstract
This paper aims to describe and analyze a training experience with Portuguese Language teachers from Joao Pessoa city elementary schools. The training project was essentially developed based on didactic sequences with text genres. The project was based on the Enunciative-Discursive Theory (Bakhtin, 2000) and the theoretic orientation from the Geneva Group (Bronckart (1999), Schneuwly (1994, 1997), Schneuwly and Dolz (2001, 2004). The experience was held in 2008 by 10 university teachers from UFPB, UEPB and CEFET-PB, assisting 150 teachers from public elementary schools. Trainees received theoretical instructions, learned how to elaborate and to analyze didactic resources and didactic sequences with textual genres. In this paper we analyze the experience, mainly the difficulties faced by the trainees about the work with textual genre in classroom. We used the trainers’ reports as a corpus.
