Primeira tradução brasileira do grande tratado de Plutarco, “De Ísis e Osíris” nasceu da perseverança da professora Maria Aparecida de Oliveira Silva que, além de se encarregar do conteúdo, ainda encampou uma campanha de financiamento coletivo entre 2018 e 2022 para que os primeiros exemplares da obra fossem impressos. Distribuídos os exemplares do crowdfunding, a tiragem esgotou. Agora, “De Ísis e Osíris” passa a integrar o portfólio da Editora Madamu e ficará disponível para os interessados em seu conteúdo integral, incluindo o prefácio da professora Margareth Marchiori Bakos, da Universidade Estadual de Londrina, o amplo estudo introdutório, o texto em grego antigo e a tradução em português, contextualizada pelas quase 550 notas explicativas elaboradas pela professora Maria Aparecida.

Military Logistics Management is the discipline that is focused on the process of planning and carrying out the movement and maintenance of various forces within the military segment. Military logistics comprises the following aspects: health and medical service support; development, design, storage, acquisition, distribution, evacuation, maintenance and disposition of materiel; personnel transport; the services furnishing acquisition, etc. The purpose of this paper is to identify transportation issues of Sri Lanka Army in 22 Division Area of Responsibility (AOR) in Trincomalee on logistics supply. This research described prevailing logistics problems on transportation sector in 22 Division AOR; in contrast, caused by overage of heavy vehicles, high percentage of off road vehicles, excessive running of vehicles, maintenance issues and incomplete heavy vehicle. Finally, this research found that, this problem can be overcome by hiring vehicles, improve the maintenance facilities, improvement of minor road network running towards to detachments, purchase new vehicles and sell overage vehicles, implement rapid repair programme to repair the off road vehicles. The research finally reveals that effective transportation system is a key prerequisite for success logistics management system. The researcher has conducted the research by talking field specialists and receiving their plans to enhance it through gathering interviews with the officers of a logistic battalion and through appropriate literature. The study is based on three main research questions: How does the existing road network affect for the logistic supply? How does the distance of detachments affect for the logistic supply? How does the existing vehicle fleet affect for the logistic supply? The research was conducted using pragmatic techniques. Relevant primary and secondary data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, policy documents and other literature on the subject with the focus to answer the said research questions. Researcher conducted an overview of how complexity and transportation problem of supplying logistic support to military bases in rural areas. The findings and recommendations of this study will have a particular appeal to logistics officers especially to those who are at policy making level.
