The paper with the title " The Eastern Front in Movies. Different Interpretations, lost chances and new possibilities around the dialog of World War II " deals with the corresponding approaches of German and Russian filmmakers after 1989/91. I argue that a lot of existing movies – especially around the Stalingrad-theme – are using the same images and topics. This leads to a problematic constriction of the view on the war between Nazi-Germany and the Soviet Union. Therefore I propose movies that are based on more average and everyday situations.
