How to use PayPal for payouts
PayPal is a convenient option for receiving Airbnb payouts. You can learn more about PayPal or create an account at PayPal.com.
Check if PayPal is available for you
PayPal is offered as a payout method in certain countries. To find out if it’s available in your region, check for it when adding a payment method. If it’s listed, you can link your existing PayPal account.
How to connect your PayPal account
Make sure your PayPal account is active before adding it to Airbnb
When setting up PayPal as a payout method, enter the email address associated with your account correctly
PayPal may ask for additional verification, such as ID or proof of address. If this happens, Airbnb payouts will be held until your PayPal account is verified. Airbnb will email you if there’s an issue.
Receiving payouts in your PayPal account
Once your PayPal account is set up and verified, Airbnb payouts will be sent directly to it. Typically, PayPal delivers the funds to your account within one business day after Airbnb releases the payment.
PayPal may charge fees
Airbnb does not charge fees for PayPal payouts, but PayPal may charge fees based on your account and location.
Maximum payout limits per transaction
PayPal has maximum payout limits per transaction:
Most countries: $50,000 USD
Japan: ¥1,000,000 per day
India: Equivalent of $10,000 USD per day
Russian Rubles: ₽100,000 per day
If your payout exceeds these limits, it will be split into smaller transactions.
Brazilian hosts: Ensure your PayPal account is set up to receive payouts in BRL to avoid restrictions.
