This is my first crystal book purchase as an adult and I’m so glad I got it! I’ve always loved rocks and minerals and recently found a little booklet I got as a kid that covered about 10 crystals. Crystal Basics Pocket Encyclopedia is a major step up with so much information. I love that is has both the geological and metaphysical information. I’ve grabbed it multiple times since it arrived and I really love the size and how handy it is.
There was one part that really made me stop and think under the Choosing Crystals section (p.20), “…crystals you feel a strong aversion to can also be important for your personal growth…” I have to admit that there are some crystals that I immediately turn away from and never considered what the author goes on to say about that. I’ll be referencing this book often!
