I have had these tables for five months. The table tops are now scratched and starting to flake off from minimal, normal use. It's a shame that these weren't made with a more resilient material. We use these tables to set water cups and coffee cups while watching TV. I guess they're not made to deal with a cup being slid across or the heat from a standard cup of coffee. (We don't use coasters or place mats. If you do, then I guess these would work for you.) For the price, I would expect more from this piece of furniture. I do not suggest buying this model if using for dishes/food.
