The story of Caz and Rox has captivated me, couldn’t stop reading and did so all night.
Loved the multi-layered characters, both fighting their own nightmares yet being perceptive to the other’s ones, thus helping to overcome them eventually.
The plot is a wild mix of relationship, crime, sex, and fairytale, which is somehow strangely believable - a product of art by Blair Babylon. It made me curious reading more of her work.

When I saw this book's blurb I knew that I really wanted it. I really do. Why you ask? Because I was curious and excited and because I had finished a sad book and I knew that this one would be just what would cheer me up.
Blair Babylon is a new author to me but I'm hooked so I want more books.
Her writing is simple, detailed, sassy, hot and the list goes on and on.
Working Stiff tells the stories of Rox and Cash.
Rox is a insecure woman that thought lying to her boss would protect her of a broken heart. She told him that she was married and doing so she could work with him and not be affected by him, but she was so wrong. Their friendship progressed and they become best friends.
Cash is a very successful lawyer and a womaniser. Oh boy he's used to lov'em and leav'em with no attachments. But how can he trust s woman when all the girls that wanted him only wanted his money? When he meets the beautiful Rox something in him change. But for the best or worst? They become friends but something is changing. Oh boy it totally is.
When she lost her apartment Cash had this amazing idea for them to become room mates. But was this a wise decision? Can they remain just friends? Can he forgive her lie?
This book was insane. In a good way of course. We can find love, friendship, loyalty, comedy but also fear, evil, betrayal. Of course the hot scenes weren't forgotten, thank God, they were hot alright.
The way the story progressed will hook you up. You will left wanting to keep reading without stop. I know what I'm talking about because it happened to me. The way the characters interact with each other is hilarious at sine point but also intense. We can't let fear rule our life, we need to fight to win.
I can't wait to read the books about Arthur and Maxence.

Blair Babylon did it again. You will definitely fall in love with the charakters of this book (as with the characters of her other books).
The story of the smart, handsome and heartbreaking laywer (with secret royal bloodline) and his paralegal - a curvy, intelligent and sassy southern belle with a huge heart has it all:
well developed characters with scars from the past and a great storyline with a lot of humor and emotion, lively dialogues (I loved those between Rox and Casimir's brother!) and action when they discover irregularities in the office and at some point they cant't deny the chemistry between them anymore.
You can also take a climpse on The Dom (Wulf) in the Devilhouse before he met Rea.Great!
In this book you will love the side characters, too: Casimir's friends Arthur and Maxence and Rox's friend from the animal shelter.
I really loved the story! The only thing, I have to critizice is that in my opinion the first half of the book was perhaps a littlebit too long whereas the last part was a littlebit rushed: I really wanted to have more details (so I would give 4.5 stars, if possible). But I hope, that some of the gaps are filled in Arthur's or Maxence's stories. I'm really looking forward to them!!

This book is the first of two and ends with a cliff-hanger.
I liked the blurb, downloaded the book and started reading. The story was ok until the accident happened: NO WAY. My pet peeve is non-existend research and I get furious when some googling would provide the author with results.

I am ranting about the car crash which is complete bull....t. Cash drives a luxurious Mercedes Maybach, one of the safest cars there is, on a freeway in LA, there is a lot of traffic and the speed should be 65m.p.h.(104km/h). It is just not possible for that kind of car to do cartwheels after colliding with a car suddenly pulling in front of it. A Maybach has extended assistence systems controlling distance, steering and lane changing. When danger threatens driving assistence systems respond according to the situation and mitigate the severity of possible collision or even avoid them. Even if there were a collision, around five airbags would reduce injuries. A ruptured spleen at 65m.p.h. is hardly believable. Cuts all over the arms and legs ??? Windshields are made of glass that crumbles into round pieces, no cutting possible. Didn't he wear a suit?

Ignoring facts and exaggerating injuries to turn a plot into the right direction makes me mad and doesn't entice me to read more novels by an author. It shows a lack of creative inspiration.

The use of names of living or recently deceased royalty or nobility is just awkward for a European, why not invent names or kingdoms? Again my advice: google names of present royalty plus relatives, don't use them but google other dutch names (Adriaan, Cornelis, Claas).
The plot became even worse and ridiculous when his noble friends arrived.

The script definitely needs a good scan by an editor to eliminate all the twofold paragraphs and actions and a proof reader for the randomly set commas.

I am not interested in spending more money and reading another 340 pages

I loved everything about this book, from Blair Babylon’s wonderful writing style to the storylines and characters she created to Joe Arden’s fabulous narration. There is a lot of story in this book, it is well written and plotted and completely engrossing. Do not let the length of the book scare you off, it goes by very quickly. The characters are complex and well developed, I adored Rox right from the start, she is likable with a great disposition and is easy to relate to. Cash, her smoking hot boss is a player and serial dater who has a reputation with the women in the office, as a love them and leave them type of guy. Rox did not want to fall in that category so she pretended to be married. She has built a good rapport with Cash, they became friends and they work well together. When he finds out she got evicted from her apartment he told her to stay with him. The two become even closer and Cash does not cross the line with married woman he find he is attracted to Rox, Rox is attracted to him but knows he only winds up dumping his woman and is afraid he will break her heart. I loved the chemistry between these two also loved how everything plays out in this book, the drama, angst, action, the great twists and surprises, the mystery and thrilling suspense, the heartfelt moments and the slow burn friends to lovers romance as well as the smoking hot sexy times. Also loved how the author kept me on my toes and had me wondering about a few things. It was great to find out more about Cash, it was great meeting his two friends and then family too. Blair Babylon, thank you for the amazing story, I hope the rest of the series comes out on Audible soon.

I listened to the Audible edition, Joe Arden is an amazing narrator and voice artist. He performs the voices of all the characters, giving each their own unique sound and personality. He does a great job with the different accents too. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he projects the characters emotions and passion into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen🎧

The story is just so unusual, when I started I had no inkling that it will take this unexpected journey. It is a modern romance, with fairy tale weaved in along with a billionaire lawyer, a suspense, action, drama, and bit of erotica weaved in. Casimir is Nordic handsome guy and Rox is cute, kind, strong , plump girl. But it is all so seamless that it is quite good and surprises the reader.

Oh my Lanta!! The ways that Blair Babylon can make you laugh so hard you have to squeeze your legs together, because you just can't stop and run to the loo!! Casimir', with his intense emerald eyes, is so hot, he made my panties melt and I'm not in my early 20's anymore. And Rox, well she's so acerbic, has a slightly twisted sense of the universe and a slavish devotion to her tribe. And therein evidences a fair portion of the humor, love/comfort, near pathos and really the true evidence of her very warm, Southern heart. Her tribe are, for me, the start of Cash really connecting with Rox and truly being able to see the depth of her soul. I have read this book at least 4 times now and will probably re-read again before the summer is over. There's always the chuckles and the tears that still catch me. I've read and re-read all of Blair Babylon's books so far. She just does that to you. You read one and want to know where the other characters(main supporting cast) have gone. And she always fulfills! Luv, love, love Casimir and Rox! Then Arthur's books(Stiff Drink & Hard Liquor) Playonwords!!

Well written, with a sort of "cute" legal office environment (not necessarily true to reality, but convincing), and great interpersonal dynamics that make for a good "beauty and the beast" based story.
Both protagonists are infallibly drawn the one to the other, but manage to resist for various reasons, long enough to build a solid friendship. Oddly, neither really tries to look into the other's background on the internet, although they both are used to using it for work...
The last couple of chapters seemed written in a bit of a hurry, but everything comes together well in the end.

Wow!!!
I have long resisted Blair Babylon because of the awful name. I know it is the nom de plume of another author, but for me the name Blair Babylon represents a cheesy middle-aged male game-show host with an orange perma-tan, a blond toupee and fake white teeth. The cover of this book put me off as well - the guy looks like an absolute arrogant jerk. So I got the book free and put off reading it. When I did start it, I expected to get a few chapters in, hate it and have an excuse to delete it from my Kindle with a few choice words muttered!

I know, I know, anyway, that aside, I couldn't have been more wrong and I'm happy to admit it. Now I really want to know who Blair Babylon is so I can read more of their books. I absolutely loved it. Casimir and Rox are both intricately written characters, each engaging and endearing in their own ways. The plot twists and turns and keeps the reader on their toes, and through it the relationship between Casimir and Rox builds, develops and deepens. It was a full length book, so it really allowed the reader to get to know the characters properly. I couldn't put it down - brilliant!
