Moriah Jensen is on the run from her sister's boyfriend, Leo Simmons, and he seems to be able to track her wherever she goes. Trusting no one she ends up in a small town in Whisper, North Carolina, hoping to stay hidden long enough to plan where she will go next.

Navy Lieutenant KC Malone is at a crossroads in his life trying to figure out where he wants his career to go next. He has been a SEAL in Iraq but is pondering a life teaching new recruits instead as he is getting older. When he heads to the family beach house to think things over the last thing he is expecting is a roommate.

As Moriah and KC begin to foster a friendship the two also have a strong attraction to the other. But Moriah has secrets and is not wanting to let KC know the truth and why she is on the run. When the truth comes out will KC and his family be there for Moriah or will she find herself on the run again?

I really enjoyed this book and the relationship between Moriah and KC. I really did understand why Moriah never wanted to let KC know the truth of why she was on the run but I wish she had opened up to him when it was evident how much she cared about him. Moriah was scared and really didn't want anyone else getting hurt at her expense.

I loved Uncle Dan and how close he and the boys were. I liked how he could really tell how good a person was and his mixing it up to make sure everyone was happy. I'm hoping he gets some happily ever after!!

I have read the Trident Series by the author and loved them and was so glad that her great writing style continues with the series! Can't wait to see what's coming next!!

Somebody pass me a towel, or a fan, because this is some hot stuff. Nuclear even! Samantha A. Cole writes some steamy, sexy, action filled suspenseful romance filled with those hot alphas we love so much. This book is a bit more tame and vanilla than the Trident Security books, but the sex scenes are still just as panty-wetting.

The action starts from the beginning as Moriah Jensen is on the run from mob members for stealing a duffel full of cash and a gun. She's managed to find a beach side house to rent for a while and lay low.

KC is a Navy SEAL just off a long assignment. He has a nice, long, R&R coming up and he wants to spend it at his Uncle Dan's beach house. He isn't prepared for the surprise waiting for him in the house.

KC and Moriah come together, and he offers to train her in self-defense and how to shoot. Moriah has told KC that she's fleeing from an abusive boyfriend, but he soon suspects there's something more. As roommates become lovers, Moriah has to decide whether to come clean or keep him safe by fleeing again. You'll want to grab a copy of Take the Money and Run to see what happens!

I loved this book! Definitely another for my keeper pile, and this author is on my automatic buy list for sure. She writes stories that keep you riveted from word one with yummy alpha heroes, sassy heroines, and exciting, sexy storylines that keep you from ever putting your e-reader down.

Take the Money and Run is the first book in the Malone Brothers Series. The story is full of action, suspenseful, fun and romance. I thought the story was well written and the chsracters were likeable. Alpha KC is on leave and looking forward to some R&R, but when he walks into the beach house he finds an unexpected surprise. Moriah is on the run trying to stay one step ahead of the mob. Add in KC's uncle Dan and brothers to the mix, at times they added the comic relief. They were great supporting characters. Oh I almost forgot the dog Jinx. This was a entertaining story, and I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
