yes if only it didn't end on a cliffhanger!
I hate stories that are incomplete and in this case I would have to buy all 4 books to find out how the story ends. Not okay. The story itself was pretty good, the author is very talented and there were a few interesting turns. I didn't like Danion at first but he grew on me as the story developed. In the beginning Ellie was such a fearful girl and it was really nice to see her developing some backbone.
Nevertheless, the book ended suddenly just as something was happening - no spoilers here :-) and I will not buy three more books just to find out the end. Sorry. There are other books just as well written that don't try to string me along.....

What a fabulous book. I highs enjoyed this book. I was captivated with the characters, plot and the setting. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. She has a talent of bringing her readers into her world. Highly recommended.

This is an unsophisticated future SF fantasy where a young Earth-woman living in poverty is selected to become a bride to an alien, space-travelling race ruler.
For teen girls. Forget about realistic science. Some sexual musings.

In any written piece of work, only a handful of authors know how to paint a picture that immediately draws the reader in, and E. M. Jaye never disappoints me. In less than one chapter, I was right there with the characters and the setting. I felt as an unseen guest, able to see, hear, taste, smell and touch it all.
The narrative starts strong and keeps moving at a fast pace, making it easy to get lost in the story and enjoy every minute of it. The characters are well developed, and the setting works perfectly for the events as they unfold.
I adored the pronunciation and definition guide included in the first pages, personally I believe it is time saving.
Fans of mysteries and thrillers, like me, will enjoy this read and all the twists and turns that come with it.
