"Chasing Grace" is a thrilling romantic suspense novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

The pacing of the novel is fast and relentless, with plenty of action, suspense, and times when you need a tissue or more close by.  The characters are well-developed, with complex motivations and backstories that add depth and complexity to the plot.

One of the strengths of "Chasing Grace" is the chemistry between Grace and Chase. Their relationship is both intense and believable, and Edith Lalonde does a great job of building the sexual tension between them without detracting from the overall plot.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fast-paced action, suspenseful romance, and a strong and powerful female and a supportive, and strong, cast of men.

Chasing Grace is the start of the Joint Task Team series.

Chase and Gray paths cross on their jobs. Can Chase save someone who doesn't want to be saved?
Chase is a typical alpha-character, but not in an unpleasant way. ;)
"It's the two of us to the end, baby." This sentence... wow!

I really liked how the team becomes part of the story - I'm excited to read whose book comes next!

I would give 3,5 stars, because there are a lot of names in the beginning of the story and that got me a little bit confused sometimes. It's also unclear to me how Grace dealt with her alcohol abuse in the end - did she simply stop drinking?

Honestly, I'd give this book more stars than five stars if I could. It has everything I love about a military suspense book. Tons of action, plenty of romance, and not the hearts in your eyes hallmark movie love, comradery and brotherhood between the team, and a fast-paced story that keeps you turning the pages in the late night. Heads up for those with possible triggers, there is cussing, violence, attempted rape. The cussing is no biggie for me. I'm a vet myself and I can tell you it does add a layer of realism to the book, we can be rather creatively vocal in that department.

I started reading after dinner and didn't put the book down till 3am. If you don't have a problem with a foul mouthed, extremely independent, beautifully broken leading woman and a dominate alpha military man who refuses to give up, grab this book. Grace, aka Gray, has had more heartbreak and disappointment then one person should have to shoulder in a lifetime so she protects herself behind a thick wall of attitude, cussing, running when emotions are involved, and a whole lot of booze. Chase wants forever with her but it's going to a battle the whole way. Good thing he likes a challenge. I can't wait for the next book. I'm going to enjoy watching each one of these guys find love.

As an avid reader, I have read many books by well known authors. Rarely has a book made me laugh and cry in the span of a few sentences. This book has all the feels and more. Grace (Grey) has so much spunk and independence. She is definitely a no nonsense type of girl. She knows what she wants and come hell or high water she is going to get it! And the CLIFFHANGER! This book definitely left me wanting more:! Now I must patiently wait for July 2022 for book number 2 in the Joint Task Team Series! Which is also the mark of an amazing author. Leaving a reader wanting more! I can’t wait for “Finding Eve”. Way to go Edith Lalonde!

I don't read many "special ops" type books, but this one had me! Fiesty Gray...loved her..although I was surprised at how fast the love came between Gray & Chase. The storyline was intriguing and it did keep me on my toes with a few mouth drops along the way...but there was A LOT of people to keep up with..especially when you found how who's side they were really on. A few deaths that had me sad and made me wonder why they had to die. Towards the end, it kind of flattened out and ended with a lot of unanswered questions. I think there are another 2 books with this, but not sure if I want to get into those...
