Seeds of Sorrow is not just a romantic retelling of Hades & Persephone - it had me captivated from the beginning.

I absolutely love the original fae spin on it and the interactions between the characters- be it goblins, harpies or vampire, fae and other creatures. It was a pleasure to immerse myself in these diverse worlds.

Especially enjoyable was the fact that the moral coding in the three realms were not just copies of our world. Plus- I love strong women! And there are plenty strong women in Seeds of Sorrow! Eden didn’t just pine for her love interest and wait for him to act but occasionally took the initiative. What a treat this book is! Can’t wait to read the sequel! Five stars from me!

I overall really enjoyed it! It felt a little dragged towards the middle but that really could’ve just been because I’m currently stressed out!

I loved the characters, and especially the dynamics within the royal family were a lot of fun and I need more of that! Eden and Draven’s relationship was so sweet and them falling for each other was just adorable. I also really enjoyed Eden’s rebellious side and her character development towards her own person!

I need to know how the story continues, so I can’t wait for the sequel!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this story for free and am leaving this review voluntary!

Ooooh boy, I loved Seeds of Sorrow! It started a bit slow, but it picked up about 1/3 of the way through. I thought the world-building was fantastic in this book, and I loved the Hades and Persephone retelling aspect. I really, really loved the relationship between the brothers, especially because most H&P retellings stay true to mythology and the brothers generally hate each other. The chemistry between Draven and Eden was off the charts, and the spice was excellent. I can’t wait to revisit this world again!

This was a fairly well re-imagining of the Hades and Persephone myth.

The worlds within this story are very similar to the upper-plane where celestials frolick and live care-free, a middle-plane of the mortal world, and the underworld land of the dead. Each plane is ruled by one of three brothers.

I liked the chemistry between Draven and Eden, the main characters in this book. The end of this first book does lead directly into the second book, which will focus on the brother who rules over the middle plane. With how the story is unfolding, the books will need to be read in order.

I love a good Hades and Persephone retelling, and this did not disappoint. Beaumont and Christie created a wonderful world of rich descriptions that drew me in and didn't let me go. I loved Draven and Eden from the very first moment and my love for them only grew as the book went on. The side characters were just as gripping and real as the main characters. I can't wait to read the next two books of this series and see where they take me.

An AMAZING Hades and Persephone retelling, with Fae and Vampires!! Also many other fascinating creatures! I am totally ADDICTED and can’t wait for the next book!! The writing is FANTASTIC!! This duo are both incredible writers, both individually and together!! The characters are so complex and I can’t wait for more layers to be revealed in them! The worlds are so INCREDIBLY WRITTEN!! I was so intrigued by Andhera, and all its creatures!! Draven and Eden are now one of my favorite book couples!! And I’ve read several Hades and Persephone retellings, but these characters are the best!! Of course the romance is filled with many swoon worthy and sexy moments, but it’s more than that, it’s the way they complement each other’s personalities and come to respect each other for who they are. I love their relationship!!! This book is UNBELIEVABLY GREAT and if the series continues this way, I can see it being a favorite series of mine!!! I recommend this to EVERYONE!!!
