MARSH/Emmit/Nerd, about 40, FBI Cyber Communication Specialist, trailing terrorists, brown hair and eyes, a Texas cowboy drawl, and a mountain of a man, he had a Mexican Mom, inherited money, and his BFFs are Brax and Sean.
LEVI/Wolf, 38, dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, FBI Agent on a Trafficker's trail. His problem is the amount of money his bills have mounted to. He has his son David, 14, a tan Greyhound, Taco, and Burrito a tabby cat with yellow eyes.
Levi and Marsh must find a way to work together while hiding that fact, and each will make gains in their cases. Levi is at his lowest at home, and Marsh has a solution, do they dare?
We get humor, warm hearts tenderness and lots of action, plus the storytelling holds our attention well.
The agents are dealing with fierce terrorists and traffickers, and it's personal.
It's also dangerous and mistakes cannot be made, but it happens.
Our two men are sizzling when they are near each other, and later they do get to have the explosive sex they have wanted and deserve.
This is exciting, the relationship is simmering, and we'll get more action in the next book, and then the third book in this trilogy.
I'm all in ! You will want all three.

Der erste Teil in den Serien von Layla Reyne ist meistens der beste Teil. Und ja diese Reihe fängt extrem gut an.
Emmitt und Levi sind starke und vielschichtige Figuren mit ebenso überzeugenden Nebenfiguren und einer spannenden Story. Okay ich habe nicht ganz verstanden warum beide heiraten müssen um ihre Fälle zusammen bearbeiten zu können, das hat aber den Unterhaltungswert nicht gemindert. Das Ende war fesselnd mit einem kleinem Cliffhanger. Ich hoffe, das der zweite Teil genauso gut weitergeht.

This is the first book I read from this author and boy did I love every minute of it. The chemistry of the leads are amazing, love how they interacted with each other and showed growth and development from having a somewhat fake marriage to real one with passion. I can't wait to read the rest of the story. I love mystery books and having it with m/m leads was the topping on the cake. The only down part for me was I wish that not so many people know the truth of the somewhat fake marriage, it took away from everyone always guessing from the co-workers and family and friends. Wish there was less people that know the secret. Everything else about the book was so amazing to read and was very informative and researched to give great care in details of the clues and seeing through the eyes of these two amazing characters Mars and Levi.
