It lightly touches on the death of a significant other in the past and an addiction in a former relationship. However, there’s also an adorable puppy named Jerry, the meddlesome antics of Aunt Stella, and no one cheats on anyone. Plus, mysteries surrounding those intriguing Tate Brothers will begin to unravel.

I am so enjoying getting to know the Tate brothers and the women who love them in this series! My husband was the oldest of seven brothers, and those family dynamics can be hard but also loving and loyal. Same for these characters. Alec is the injured football player who needs to get a life. Oakley is the former NFL team trainer who also needs to get a new life. The story is sweet and healing with plenty of wisdom. There is my required happy ending after a bit of angst that needs to be worked out. I'm ready to binge read the next book in the series.

Romance, sweet, contemporary; series but stand alone read
Oakley and Alec’s story started as they were both at low points in their lives. Oakley having been forced to quit her job as an athletic trainer, and Alec having listened to his career as an NFL trainer in a tackle gone wrong knee injury during a game.
Sweet romance, both have issues, but they find hope, comfort, and new life in each other.
Fun setting and background story. Loved the side characters, generally well done plot made for a fun read. Perfect HEA as they figure out where they want their future to be together
