Let me tell you, I have been searching for a book that would rekindle my love for fantasy romance...and this was it!

Without giving anything away, this book had beautiful characters, love between friends and lovers, and a plot that actually enhances the love story.

It's funny and, despite the fantasy element, has a touch of realness that makes you emphasize with the characters. The heroine was a strong character that didn't back down and for once didn't waiver in her loyalty.

Friends to lovers so well done that I actually believed they were BEST FRIENDS before finally giving in and falling heads-over-heels in love.

I just finished and am scrambling to say all the right things.

I got it on Kindle but I'm ordering a hard copy TODAY. I need this book in my collection.

I loved reading this book. Jesikah writes in a way that completely captures me and I get sucked in to the story instantly. I adore how the characters develop over time and yet you feel like you know them well within a couple of pages. So brilliant! The idea of a magical Night Market run by different tribes with different angendas is intriguing and provides for a great story when mixed with a healthy dose of love and anguish. The story is solid and I promise you if you pick this book up you will not be able to put it down.

The Night Market is less a fantasy adventure and more a romantic drama steeped in a fantastical world. If you’ve read Bound By Ravens, which takes place in the same world, it’s so dissimilar to BBR that it’s nearly shocking it’s written by the same author. What you will find within its covers is witty banter, fated mates, fun magical elements, and a couple you cannot help but root for. Sundin really dug down into these characters and fleshed them out. There is no epic adventure to distract from a well-thought out and cleverly contrived romance, which also has a perilous plot spun around it. While I could not put Sundin’s Bound By Ravens down due to the extraordinary wit and banter, the sweet and intimate relationship between the FMC and MMC in The Night Market is what kept me going in this tale. Absolutely recommend this one hands down and also highly recommend the audiobook version. With the same voice actors from Bound By Ravens, these actors show their amazing versatility by possessing similarities between the acting in both books while maintaining a clear distinction between the two.
