Absolutely Entirely Fantastic.
Was a pleasure to listen to. It was so cool to hear all of the original writings by the man himself - Arthur C. Doyle. No wonder the name Sherlock Holmes is so universally known in literature. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. The voice person/narrator is fantastic, well done Sir. A+, would recommend this audiobook to anyone.

Excellent
For more than a month, I’ve enjoyed the mysteries of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. It was especially fun to study the original stories before rewatching BBC’s Sherlock and spotting all the references.

Of it’s time
I thoroughly enjoyed Simon Vance’s narration of Sherlock’s tales. It was interesting to hear the entire collection and recognize how many contemporary shows have “borrowed” from Conan Doyle’s stories. The casual racism and sexism is a little jarring at times but the reality of the time in which it was written.

What a listen!!
Long live Sherlock Holmes and his wonderful adventures. Hats off to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for creating such timeless stories. Even though it’s set in the late 1800s the reader has no issue understanding and following along!

Excellent Reading of the Sherlock Holmes Canon
Simon Vance, oh Simon Vance... man he has a great voice. He reads the Holmes stories so engagingly, steadily, tonally pleasant- fitting, given that he's often reading from the perspective of the steadfast companion John Watson- and overall, excellently. Whether you're new to Holmes or have been reading the stories for years, I'd highly recommend given it a shot: at 1 credit and 58 hours of listening, you can't go wrong.
As a side note, if you enjoy this, I'd also recommend the Sherlock pastiches written by Lyndsay Faye ; they're written in the same style as the old stories- better then anyone else I've ever read- and are also read by Simon Vance. Between a story of Sherlock's realistic fight against Jack the Ripper in 'Dust and Shadow' and an excellent collection of short stories in 'The Whole Art of Detection', you're sure to have a good time :)

Great Performance
Being a life long Sherlock fan, finding that there was an Audiobook available, I jumped at the chance to purchase. I was not disappointed. The performance was amazing, the stories were just as I remembered and I really appreciated that the books were split into volumes so that they would fit on my phone. Highly recommend.
