A story about the life and struggle after divorce
This book is the story of how Lauren Delaney picked up the pieces of her life after she chooses to leave her abusive husband.
This story follows along as you "see" what she goes thru to finally take her life back. As she wades thru life, with the reactions of her daughters and the dilemmas of where to live and who will be her friends will be, she takes it all in stride.
This story is about the life that she builds instead of being a story that has a tangible plot line with issues that must be solved.
And not only is this story about Lauren, it's also about Bo Magellan and his divorce and what he's going thru as well.
So not only is this story a look into their lives, we get to see the reactions of the people most close to them and the events and situations that they finds themselves in as a result of the decisions that they're making. And some results that are no fault of their own.
It's a great "look" into a short time in their lives and how they weathered things and how they dealt with things.
Carr does a great job of creating and building the characters and making them interesting and unforgettable.
The narrator was engaging and good at making different characters sound different. I didn't like how weak she made Lauren sound in the ending scene with Brad. Lauren wasn't a wimp character and she made her "sound" like that.
But definitely a story worth the almost 10hrs it takes to listen to this book!!

Love this!
I really enjoyed this story! I kind of knew how it would end but I didn’t know how it would unfold. Loved the twists and curves - also love the narration. Bravo to Therese Plummer 👍👍👍

Very enjoyable!
Finally a love story, several actually, done exceptionally well. Great depth on the characters as well. The narrator was also very good.
