Story
If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one. After 17 years - and countless broken bones and broken promises - she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close. But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she's spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.

One of my favourites!

I've just listened to this for the second time and it hit me in the feels, just like the first time I read the ebook.
It was funny, emotional, and exhilarating. I loved how the author really understood what it took to be a top elite athlete - all the sacrifices you make in order to succeed. I loved watching Jasmine and Ivan's relationship grow. His devotion to her made me swoon hard! The narration was spot on as usual from the amazing Callie Dalton as Jasmine, and I loved the addition of Teddy Hamilton speaking all of of Ivan's parts. Just brilliant and still remains one of my Top Reads.

It didn't take a week for 27-year-old Sal Casillas to wonder what she'd seen in the international soccer icon - why she'd ever had his posters on her wall or ever envisioned marrying him and having super-playing soccer babies.

I've just listened to this audiobook for the second or third time, and still as brilliant as ever.
The story of Sal and Kulti is a beautiful slow burn, full of friction, growing friendship, attraction, humour, and such a sexy finale. Callie Dalton is my favourite female narrator - so talented! I don't always enjoy listening to a female POV story but Callie really brings it. Expressive, excellent timing and delivery, and a great male voice and German accent. Just brilliant!

Story
Winnifred Gobaldi and Byron Visser are not best friends. Yes, they’ve known each other for years, but they’re not even friendly. Winnie considers them more like casual, distant acquaintances who find each other barely tolerable, especially when he's being condescending (which is all the time).

Fabulous read!

This was a fabulous read about two highly complicated people, who dealt with their complexities in opposite ways.
This was a big, slow-burn read and I loved every single word. It was a humorous, angsty and sexy story, riddled with doubt, awkwardness and misunderstanding. Both Win and Byron were complex characters and crying out to be understood. I adored the evolvement of their relationship and changing perception of each other, as they spent more time together. I thoroughly enjoyed their voyage of discovery of one another, as well as within themselves. Their chemistry sizzled and sparked, as attraction and tension heightened between them. Byron's admiration, desire and passion for Win was thrilling and made my heart full. Such a brilliant, delicious read!
Narration on excellent. Voices suited the characters, and execution and delivery was on point. Enjoyed listening to the audio as much as reading the ebook. Fabulous!

Fantastic story!

I read the e-book version of this story not so long ago and absolutely loved it. Although it's an older novel, it was one of my Top Reads of last year and I was looking forward to listening to it.
This book was amazing! I loved everything about it. The forbidden aspect, Olivia's demons, Will's own issues, and their burgeoning relationship born of trust, respect, and sizzling sexual attraction. My heart cried out for Olivia. Her back story was mysterious and shocking. She was courageous and so tough. I hurt for everything she'd been through, and I adored how Will's mum welcomed her into her home and heart. I adored Will. He was plodding through life out of a sense of guilt and duty, yet he really stepped up for Olivia through her struggles. He didn't always deal with everything properly, as he fought to do the right thing, as he was her coach and she was a student. But, my goodness, how I thrilled at his jealousy and possession of her, and how he was willing to give up everything to be with the woman who made his life worth living. Loved this book hard!
In terms of narration, overall, I thought the delivery was great. I'm familiar with the female narrator and thought she did the female character justice, however, I wasn't not overly keen on the male narrator. I'd never listened to him before. He was a great voice actor but I didn't think his voice and style fitted Will - he made him sound older than he was in the story and I just found that quite distracting.
Overall, though, this was a fantastic read with an unusual storyline that kept me riveted.

Story
It was the blood I noticed first. Running down the neck of the man on the ferry. Then his bruised knuckles, dark eyes, and arrogant smirk. The handcuffs came last. No one else paid him attention, but I couldn't look away. Or deny my instant lust. I had no idea he was being imprisoned on the remote, dark Scottish island I knew well. Or that he'd been kidnapped, not arrested. I went from that naïve girl on the boat, dreaming of stolen kisses, to the one who held the key to his prison cell. When heat turns to hate, all that's left is ruin.

Well, when I heard that Zachary Webber was going to narrate this story, I was curious to hear his Scottish accent. I must admit, I was pretty impressed!
I just ADORED this story! It was dark, gritty and scorchingly passionate. This author has always been fantastic at her craft, but I definitely feel that this series will push her up to another level. Thea's personal journey from meek and gentle girl into a woman of courage, who fights to take control of her life, was heartwarming and almost victorious. I loved her innocence, her good heart, and her passion for Struan. In turn, I adored how Thea made him feel - giving him the tenderness, love and belief that he'd been crying out for all his life. Struan was a brash hothead but I loved his fierce possession of Thea, and the way she made him feel vulnerable and raw. They made an unlikely pair but were so right together. Such an amazing start to a new series!
Zachary has always been brilliant with these angsty, emotional novels and this one was no different, plus the added dimension of listening to him with a Scottish accent. Overall, I thought he did really well. I've never listened to Zara before but loved her voice and and delivery. A fantastic audio!

Know that saying about how what happens in paradise, stays in paradise? Yeah, no. That other one about first impressions? Check this out: tall. Broad shoulders. Fine butt. No manners. Expensive aftershave I could swear I’ve sniffed somewhere before. I should keep my mind on the sun, the sand, and the tequila and keep my hands to myself. But it’s Cancun. And there’s sun and sand and tequila...and when Mr. Annoying turns on the charm, I can’t resist. That crucial thing about never sleeping with your boss’ boss? Yeah. Too late.

Adored Miller and Claire's story the first time round I read it. This was a thoroughly enjoyable 're-read' and I loved being surprised by the storyline again, as it's been a few years since I read the book.
Claire is strong, courageous and confident. She's not afraid to push her boundaries. She's a good person and generally only has people's best interests at heart. Miller has been burnt by love in the past, which makes it difficult for him to trust women. In his heart, he knows Claire is one of the good ones and one mistake cost him his happiness - a happiness he wasn't even looking for. However, I loved how hard he fought for her when she was back in his life. Their story was sweet, super sexy, amusing and also emotional.
Teddy and Stephanie do a brilliant job of bringing them to life. I loved listening to their voices. Thoroughly recommend.

A tyrant by day, a playboy by night. That's the reputation that precedes Richard VanRyan. He lives life the way he wants, no concern for the opinion of others. He cares for no one, is completely unrepentant, and has no desire to change his ways. Katharine Elliott works under Richard as his PA. She despises him and his questionable ethics, but endures all the garbage he sends her way, because she needs the job.

Read this story a few years back and really fancied doing a re-read via audio. I still adore the story. My goodness but Richard VanRyan is so horrible and rude to begin with, but I loved his journey from tyrant to softie. I'd forgotten that a lot of the story was told from Richard's POV, which I loved. Really enjoyed John Lane's delivery and depiction of RVR. The female narrator is not one of my favourites but I enjoyed the story nonetheless.

Freakin' ADORED this story! It was funny, hot AF, and completely sucked me in.
Gaaahhh!! This was such an ADDICTIVE read/listen! Maxx is the epitome of grumpy. He's stern and growly, yet OMG hella hot!! He doesn't trust easily yet he really looks after the people he cares about. I loved how Charly got under his skin. Her sweet and sassy ways amused him, her efficiency and intelligence impressed him, and her kindness touched him. She breathed life and love into his bitter heart. She was such a ray of sunshine and just so gosh-dang-it adorable! She came to bring order to his messy life but she unknowingly blew it apart and showed him what it was like to be happy again.
This was such a fabulous feel-good, sexy read. I'm so glad it came to audio so I could do a re-read of it. I thought John Lane was perfect as Maxx - he sounded exactly how Maxx sounded in my head. I loved Maxine Mitchell's voice and her delivery - she did the male voices really well, too. The two of them brought this story to life and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The steamy scenes made me hot under the collar, and the funny scenes made me laugh. Such a fab audio!
