I usually love Julianne MacLean’s books but this one missed the mark

I’ve read numerous books by this author and I usually enjoy them all, but this one was hard to follow and disappointing after the first few chapters. I don’t recommend ,

I loved everything about this Novel set in the Low Country. Family, love, life challenges great food, & true friends in the setting of Sullivan’s Island with a little New York thrown in for the plot twists. The one thing would make it better is a pdf of the recipes to accompany the book. Looking forward to book two!

Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

More than I expected, and so good it should be a movie
Revisado: 04-12-24
I loved everything about this book, it’s entertaining & interesting from start to finish; the narration is perfect for all characters. This book would be an awesome Netflix movie if the producers would leave the story and characters as they are. Netflix ruined Robyn Carr’s series, “Virgin River” by changing the characters and story.

Nasty people eventually reap what they sew!
Revisado: 04-11-24
I loved this two book series, the story kept my interest from start to finish. The narrator did an excellent job on all the female & children’s voices, but she needs to improve her “male” voice narration. It wasn’t off putting enough to make me stop listening 🙉 but male character voices could have been better.

With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour. So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn't fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more than a one-night stand. I love all of Lynn Austin’s books. She is such a talented writer. The characters and their actions post civil war are historically accurate but told in a way that makes it feel like their lives are happing now . Gripping story.

Historia
In one life-changing moment, the lives of the Jewish exiles in Babylon are thrown into confusion and despair when a decree arrives from the king's palace in Susa. It calls for the annihilation of every Jewish man, woman, and child throughout the empire on the 13th day of Adar, in less than one year. Ezra, a quiet Jewish scholar and teacher, is suddenly called upon to lead the community as they seek God for a reason for this catastrophe.

💡Lynn Austin is an amazing Author of Historical Fiction when it comes to understanding & teaching about Biblical History. Before reading her books, I thought God to be uncaring & cruel at times throughout history. After reading many of Lynn Austin’s books, I now realize that it is God’s people who have brought injustice & cruelty upon themselves. It is God who has the ultimate plan for our lives through His Love & patience.

Historia
Magic most definitely resides in the Maine summerhouse where the mysterious Madame Zoya has granted the innermost wishes of its visitors. Now, three women have come to this special place with one thing in common: a painful past they would each like to rewrite. Amy, who hides a heartbreaking loss behind her seemingly perfect marriage and family...Faith, a widow in her 30s whose deepest grief is for a man from years ago...and Zoe, an artist shunned by her hometown for reasons she doesn’t know after a traumatic night erased her memory.
