It’s hard to pot this series down. I recommend it highly. The plot, characters and especially the setting are truly fantasy!

I listened to several of Buroker’s series. She puts together colorful characters, snappy banter, intriguing plot and a competent reader to pull it all together.
Pick your favorite genre and enjoy her efforts.

Good,but not really.

Having previously listened to ¹The Wolves Next Door 'series, this book did not meet my expectations. While it was good, it didn't hold my attention. The reader's perfornamce sounded too youthful and her work on the male characters left them sounding like young teens.

I did gain a new appreciation for the problems of cancer and the care it requires. The author's treatment of this subject is outstanding.

I listened to these books one after the other and loved them. the author didn't let the sexy scenes get in the way of character development or a great story line. Best paranormal I've listened to in a while. extremely good readers.

Not my si-fi grade

I guess I'm just not up to the level of this space fiction. I've listened and read - and still just didn't "Get it". The reader was great but I had real difficulty following the narrative. This may be a super book for those immersed in space fiction - but it wasn't for me. I have read another of Elizabeth Bear's book and like it.

worth every minute

I was hesitant to get this book, but couldn't pass up the daily deal price. Wow, am I glad I bought it. I love an author that chooses a theme - chemistry in drugs - and then does her research to use it throughout the plot. . The reader and the writing kept me listening and finding things to do around the house for guilt free listening. Excellent action and detail oriented story line. Highly recommend it.

I'm so glad i tried this author! Well written and very well read, this book has a believable plot, interesting characters and written in a genuinely entertaining style. I'm buying the next in the series as soon as I put a period to this review!

The producers of this series found a perfect match of story, reader and writer. The author takes the story line and weaves an intriguing tale that keep the reader interested and reaching for more. Great characters, and settings.
The reader is first class!
