Patrick is an amazing writer. The way he describes things comes from true understanding of their hardships. This book will definitely make you cry and laugh. And for those who have lived a life of poor and hardship, You may find this very familiar.

wonderful listen

what do you say about one of the most famous book series ever written?
it was a great listen if I have any arguments against it; sometimes the singing from narrator is a bit off. especially for the female characters, but that's to be expected.
pacing was great and the mood rung true.

entertaining and fun listen

the guy has a smooth buttery voice and he's witty in entertaining. if you like folklore and legends from different cultures this is a great listen. whether you need something to entertain you during a long drive or noise in the background while you fall asleep it's a great choice.

exceptionally helpful book

I think the great thing about this book is it doesn't matter what kind of upbringing or situation you find yourself in. it will be helpful if you take in the message. I can see why this book has become so popular over the years. in the narration / voice acting was very well done in the editing was flawless no repeats or anything.

other than a few repeated lines here and there this was great! I love the ending. The writing was amazing throughout this entire book. all the characters feel real; like actual individuals with there own desires, worries, and triumphs. all three books make you laugh and cry with all the happy and sad moments.

I always love when an author can write a child character acting like a child. I love this book and I can listen to it over and over again. with out ever getting bored.

Disappointing

there is so much missing from this. Crucial noise cues, like a car speeding off or running over something and making characters just suddenly breaking out in a scream that annoyingly destroys your eardrums, making it incredibly confusing and irritating to listen too. The voice actors all sound so similar that they might as well just be one person doing all voices and it makes it impossible to tell who is talking.
not only that but the writing is so jumbled up that everything just Hops and skips over so many things that you can barely follow the plot. listening to the story was the equivalent of watching a squirrel decide which direction to run!

great book! there was 1 or 2 editorial mistakes. but it didn't ruin the experience.

it was meh

the story was praditable and a bit dull.
most of the acting was alright but the female's voices often sound so simular to one another it was hard to tell witch person was talking until a name was dropped. also in the beginning it jumped so much so quickly it felt really chopy. and a few editing mistakes can be heard trough out. over all this was a some what disappointing one.
