Kyran Harbor is everything I'm not. Rich. Popular. A superstar football player who's awfully broody for someone who has it all. Basically, he's a preppy jock who hates me. Oh, and he's also my stepbrother. That's right. We're stuck together, sharing a school, a house, a bathroom. Honestly I wouldn't care if he wasn't such an uptight control freak who messes with me just because we're different. I had every intention of avoiding him when we got to college. Until abrupt misfortune forces us both into a compromising position.

I will be listening to this on repeat for the foreseeable future and I’m not even mad about it 😂 I loved every minute of this and the narrators were new to me and I am obsessed. This story was everything and I love the angst and the sweet moments and the petty energy that fueled me for days. Any poker face I thought I had was obliterated. Avi and Kyran now hold big pieces of my heart and I would do anything to protect them. It was everything.

Lucian freakin Rollins 🥰
Revisado: 05-28-24
It has taken me waaay too long to get to this book and even longer to get through it but I am so glad I finally finished it. I loved seeing all the characters from the past 2 books again and diving into Sloane and Lucian’s past. I loved the continuing storyline with the crime boss that started in book one and how it wrapped up nicely in this book. And seeing Lucian and Sloane’s relationship develop while that’s all happening too didn’t feel like it was too much going on at the same time. I loved their banter with each other and everyone else. Ugh can’t wait to dive into the next book by Lucy 🥰

Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end. He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

Nash. I love him, and I love him and Lina together. I loved seeing him come back to life with Lina’s help and seeing more of his charm that we got just a taste of in Things We Never Got Over. And seeing Lina let people in was amazing. It was funny and the narrators definitely added to the experience and I loved it. It was sweet, a little angsty and overall just great. Can’t wait to jump into book 3!

Absolutely adore
Revisado: 03-14-24
My absolute favorite part of this whole story was Steph, Naomi's best friend. He was everything and I loved his relationship with Naomi and how well he understood her. I know this wasn't about him but every scene he was in made me smile and I love him. Okay, now about the real couple in this story, Knox and Naomi. Knox was such an a**hole. Given he does have his trauma that he never processed or talked through, but at the same time, he couldn't say "don't get attached" and keep doing things that can cause people to get attached. So my heart hurt for Naomi when Knox was too much of a coward to face his feelings. And Naomi has her set of baggage as well, always feeling like she wasn't enough. Always trying to make up for her sister's mistakes and shortcomings. Despite all that she is dealing with, she is also trying to care for a niece she didn't know existed courtesy of her train-wreck twin sister. Her life was also in shambles when she was left with her niece and is trying to give her some stability. And unfortunately, before everything crashed and burned, Knox was apart of that stability. It was nice to seeing Naomi's relationship develop with her niece and her helping Waylay heal from everything her mother put her through. Especially when she also has first hand experience as to how her sister is. It was also nice seeing her figure out she does want to keep Waylay and be guardian and not just because she is always cleaning up her sister's messes. Overall, the banter in this book with everyone made me happy and laugh at times. And the family Naomi found for herself and Waylay, it was nice small town romance, that got a little dark whenever the "evil" stepsister came along.

I tore out of rehab to win my husband back. It’ll work, too. He just needs to see that I’m clean, that I’m on my feet again. Until that happens, though, I’ve only got one guy in my corner—Beck, my husband’s best friend, who takes me in against his will and keeps me sane. Living with Beck is easier than I expected. And fun. Except I’ve got a long history of wanting things I’m not supposed to want.

Revisado: 03-04-24
Omg! Beck is really giving Josh a run for his money as favorite guy written by Elizabeth. Omg this book had my heart in a vice and what I would give to be able to read this book for the first time again. Beck and Kate are too precious to me and there are not enough words to encapsulate the perfection that is them. Kate, coming back from her most recent stint in rehab to win back her husband only to see how things have changed since she was gone. And Beck, helping her out while she was trying to win her husband back. It was angsty and stressful seeing what they both go through to get to their happy ending but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life isn’t always straightforward and happy, Kate is very well versed in this and the pain she’d endured and overcome makes me so happy for her. She may have came back for the wrong reasons but she found her way. I loved every minute of this book and can’t wait for the next one!

Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Revisado: 02-27-24
Literally devastated!!! I did not need to be crying while listening to this and I am shattered. Violet has had a very volatile time rider’s quadrant. Seeing her grow into who she is now was amazing and her bonding with her dragons was everything. I loved her bond with Tairn, it is literally everything I didn’t know I needed. He sassy and a perfect match for Violet. Their conversations are everything to me and just make me soo happy. Dain has becoming enemy #1 and there is no redemption for him in my eyes. There are things I want to put in this review but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. I was emotionally devastated and crying. 😢

Eldas and Luella 🥰🥰
Revisado: 02-16-24
Oh to experience this book for the first time again. I have read this once and now listened to it twice, once with a full cast and now with just the narrator. Each was a fun new experience and ugh Eldas 🥰 he was my first love in this series and still one of my favorite MMCs of the series. I loved going back to their world and seeing them fall in love again. And Willow ☺️ will always love Willow and Luella’s friendship and them hanging out. Also loved seeing Luella develop a relationship with Eldas’s younger brother. The narrator brought life to this story and I loved every minute of this story.

People often underestimate me. They shouldn’t. Gavin Wells is dreamy and delicious. Dark and mysterious. His world is exactly where I want to be. But he’s got me in a chokehold of smoke and mirrors. Someone should’ve warned him that burning Ivy releases toxic spores. Because I’m the spark who can reduce him to ashes.

AMAZING!!!🤩
Revisado: 02-15-24
Absolutely amazing, I was hooked from the very beginning. I was not prepared for all the twists and turns I would go on and even I felt like I was losing my mind like Ivy. The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life and it added to everything going on. It was almost as if I was living it too. I am living for Ivy and her new era that she was thrusted into. It was a lot to accept and she was handling it like the queen she is. Wells and the rest of the guys were amazing, they had their moments where they were enemies #1 but they did everything for Ivy. I literally love all of them and Liam and Gavin are favorites. Seeing all their relationships develop was fun to watch because they each were different and were developed per each of their personalities and common interests.

Revisado: 01-30-24
This was wild from start to finish. The whole enemies to lovers vibe in the beginning was fun to watch, especially when Stone and Wren were pranking each other. Seeing their relationship progress gave me all the warm feelings I needed to get through my day. And the dual narration with Alex Kydd and Keira Steven’s definitely added to the whole experience and ugh I loved them. I’ve been obsessed with Alex Kydd since Pucking Around and he will always be an automatic listen. I loved this whole book from start to finish and will likely be listening to it again and again.

Historia
I've been in love with my best friend for years. The problem? He thinks I'm straight. Now that I share a dorm with him, his insistent need to cuddle—and lack of clothes—are blurring the careful lines I've drawn. I'm struggling to keep my defenses up. I love him, but I'm afraid. Afraid I'm not enough to make him stay. Afraid he'll rip my heart out. Afraid he won't love me back. But I see a side of him no one else does. In the security of our room, he lets his mask fall, lets me hold him.

Paul and Brendon 🥰🥰
Revisado: 01-29-24
Paul and Brendon are the chaotic couple I didn’t know I needed. Brendon’s personality can appear to be a lot to handle but it makes him who he is and served as his shield for what he had to overcome. Was he a bit of a mess? Yes. Do I care? No, no I don’t. I love him and seeing him with Paul made my heart happy. They balanced each other out and provided comfort for each other when needed. Definitely loved how communicative they were about their issues, granted it was rough a few times here and there, but definitely talked when needed. Also love that we get to see them interact more with Preston and Jeremy, especially Brendon messing with Preston. Love their whole dynamic and how Preston kind of warms up towards him (but only a little bit 😂) overall I loved this and devoured it like book 1, can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.
