Historia
A pilot stranded in the desert awakes one morning to see, standing before him, the most extraordinary little fellow. "Please," asks the stranger, "draw me a sheep." And the pilot realizes that when life's events are too difficult to understand, there is no choice but to succumb to their mysteries. He pulls out pencil and paper... And thus begins this wise and enchanting fable that, in teaching the secret of what is really important in life, has changed forever the world for its readers.

Intensely personally devastating
Revisado: 02-10-23
The book is natural, fluent and satisfying but the experience comes at a terrible cost. The subject matter is unspeakable in polite society so to live a world of such extreme exposure to the rawness of life can be hard on a person. Be gentle with yourself.

Historia
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

Better than I could have imagined
Revisado: 08-11-22
First off, I highly recommend this book to all you fans of time travel stories as well as anyone who appreciates emotional drama. I was captivated from the get go by Claire and Henry’s characters; neither is portrayed as a “perfect person” but each carry their vices and make reasonable decisions and they become very real. By the end I was completely caught up in their struggles and wanted nothing more than for them to live happily ever after. The author is a master storyteller, the narrator’s performances were exceptional. The situation they are in feels real and gritty, dangerous, tender and fragile. I feel marked by the experience of this audiobook and I think everyone should give it a try.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Really great, all-round
Revisado: 05-24-11
This is one of my favorite novels, so when I realized I could listen to it at work I instantly downloaded it. The narrator was spot on and actually enhanced my fondness of the book. I've seen lots of negative reviews on here regarding different aspects of this audiobook but I don't understand any of their issues against it. This is an excellent audiobook of a fantastic novel.
