Thrilling story!
Revisado: 10-18-23
I found this series on accident and am so glad it happened.
I’m hooked and Allen Eskens is quickly becoming my new favorite author. Finished The Life We Bury and quickly ate up The Guise of Another.
Book 3 is downloading as I write this review.
So far, two great listens, both extremely well written with captivating characters and story lines. Book 3 here I come!

This book will make you stop and reflect on your own life and how you might feel if you found yourself in a similar scenario.
The storyline completely got in my head, almost obsessively, I was actually dreaming about it, that’s never happened!
I highly recommend listening to this audiobook, I really enjoy Liane Moriarty’s novels and this one was another winner!

Historia
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

Absolutely Captivating
Revisado: 01-06-23
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I downloaded this book, it was recommended to me by Audible & my past selections and I thought, sure, whatever, it’s included in my membership what do I have to lose.
From the first chapter, that will make your jaw drop, I was desperate to learn the reason behind the incident.
This book was brilliantly written, the characters are easy to feel compassionate for, and hands down had me wanting to hear how the story played out. I cried, I anguished, and then I cried some more. I was irritated when my family walked in and interrupted the story I was trying to listen to!
Highly recommend!! Will absolutely search for another book by this author!
