I had no idea who Rachel was when I purchased the book. It was wonderful to hear about Rachel’s faith journey - and validate that everyone’s journey is unique.
We have a new pastor in our church. When I mentioned “Searching for Sunday,” her eyes lit up and she sang RHE’s praises. How wonderful to know that she’s still in her journey as well.

A Dark Journey

Good enough that I did not return it -
Multiple times in the last hour I wished I had.
I thought the narrator was wonderful!
The protagonist and her town - both train wrecks.
Think I need a Mitch Rapp story to cleanse my pallet. ;-$

A Mellow Look at Neil’s Heart

So cool that this book was included in subscription. I thought it was a really nice portrayal of a celebration Ty who never sought the “Limelight.” Smart, hard-working, honest - those who knew him well were incredibly fortunate. Rest In Peace…

Men - Listen to this and talk to your boys!

Lacy Crawford's story is painful, but we need to listen. As the father of two sons, we have had discussions about relationships, respect, love - and the sex talk too. I love the way my boys treat people - friends, women, their mother, grandmother, the elderly, the disabled... you get the point. We teach with words and we teach by example. When dad says something hurtful in front of the boys, he apologizes in front of the boys. The young men in this book were entitled - and they treated the world and people in it with abuse that made me cringe. Thank you for sharing your healing journey. Peace.

Fun Book

Book flowed pretty well. It falls into titles I refer to as "brain candy." Doesn't take any real effort to keep up, but the listening time flies by. Good work!

Eddie!

I saw Pearl Jam one time - They went on before Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers - Nobody knew who they were when it started - but they were our favorite when it ended. Love Pearl Jam, the "Into the Wild" soundtrack is my favorite of all time. Loved Eddie's stories and narration - the missing star is for sound quality and some missed dialogue.

Loss of momentum

I try desperately to avoid getting hooked into a series. Cradle has certainly been an exception - I even pre-ordered book #10. I've enjoyed the storyline, narration, humor... I had no problem finishing the book, but was honestly pretty glad when it was done. It seemed to lack the fluidity of the previous books. They spent way too much time in one place, and some of the plot lines just felt forced. Contemplated a 3 for story, but since I intend to listen to any / all books in this series - doesn't seem fair.

Fantastic!

At the very beginning, I considered returning, because I was struggling with narration. Upon completion - I have to say, the AUTHOR did an Amazing job. The story moved well, I loved the characters and the message. This book got the message across with a PG rating - pretty rate feat!

Entertaining, but didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. No doubt, Vance is a smart guy - certainly should be proud of his accomplishments. A lot of it just felt superficial to me.
