Sooooooooo boring and predictable!

The storyline is so boring and unrealistic that it loses its appeal from go...librarian chases a man who leaves his business card with a barista then ends up dating him and his brother. Stupid plotline. Weak female lead----that alone makes it a no-go for me. I'm maybe halfway thru the 1st book and I don't know if I want to finish but I paid for it so I feel like I have to. But then again this is 20+ hours of my life that I will never get back and that, my friends, is priceless.

I likely would not have gotten this far w/o the rare appearance of my fave male narrator, Zachary Webber. He could read street signs to me and keep my attention. The female narrator is high-pitched and sounds borderline childish, definitely ditzy. Not horrible but does nothing to endear me to the female lead. And I had the nerve to get 3 for 1 when I don't even want the 1. Skip it!!

HORRIBLE!! Be warned

Horrible non-consensual sex scenes. Graphic and repeated and the narrator was so realistic. And to make matters worse, book 2 is missing some very important chapters. Wth happened??!!! How did she get out?? I made it thru all of the horrible to not even get the satisfaction of the rescue. From context clues it seems that she may have even saved herself and I MISSED THAT!!??!!
Probably the worst purchase I have ever made. I should have read the reviews beforehand. I am all for dark but this is depraved and there is nothing sexy about rape and non-consensual sodomy!!

Like candy for your ears

Sweet, decadent candy that you know won't fill you up but is too good to put down.
The narrators were AMAZING even if I did have to speed up the tempo slightly for the female narrator to keep her from grating on my nerves. But the characterization was definitely on point!! And very smart to get a talented male for all seven male voices. He did an excellent job and the narrator can make or break a story.
That being said, the female lead was hard to like. I am all for women's empowerment and free choice with your sexuality but it has to make sense and with more of a backstory this could have been longer and better. Everything felt rushed including how swiftly she jumped into bed w/the men and then wondered how her choices could have led to her consequences. She s÷eemed too ditzy to be a scientist. The storyline was good but underdeveloped and thus also felt rushed.
The sex scenes were straight out of a girl's fantasies but light on details and glossed over at points, again...RUSHED.

Love the story HATE the narrator

Ok, I wasn't in love with the last narrator, Shari considering such a mature voice was portraying such a young character and her characterization range was not that wide---seemed to have the same voice for everyone. That being said, this new female narrator is Hoooooorrrible!!!! Her cadence and tone is frankly annoying!! And her accents are the worst!! I find myself hanging on for the male narrator.

The storyline is good. I understand that in a series this length, one has to lay down groundwork. I do feel that there should be some way to indicate the passage of time. So much does not have to occur in such a short amount of time. Does this even take place over a week's time?

Soooooo hot from beginning to end

What a great twist on the whole Helen of Troy story. I loved everything about it. I loved that the heroine was strong but with realistic vulnerabilities that she both acknowledged and tackled. I loved that the alpha and beta males were both strong and understanding and not intimidated by the strength of a woman. In fact, they were turned on by it. And speaking of turned on...the sex was both explicit and steaming hot--sensual and rough at times but also sweet and tender when required. It was EVERYTHING!

Great plotline

This was a great story with an intricate plot. There were no frank sex scenes but the angst and build-up was as intense as any romance I've read and didn't detract from the story at all. For me to say that says something because I LOVE my raunch!! Especially when its read by Shane East who did another EXCELLENT performance with this work. The only thing I will say is that there could have been more world building, imagery, more descriptions. I want to feel like I am immersed in the story when I am reading. I even listened to the deleted scenes extra---thank you for that! I have to say, I missed some of the scenes, esp the 1 w/her cutting up her 1st kill. When listening originally I asked myself what happened to it. With her being a noble woman I was curious about how she would handle it and maybe from Hollen's POV.
Overall I judge a book on the basis of would I listen to it again. The answer for this one is a resounding YES!!

The female narrator nearly ruined it

OMG!!! The female narrator for this installment was the WORST!! Her accents were waaaaaay off and just horrible and the voice that she gave Kazmir was atrocious!! You couldn't tell that it was even a male speaking if not for the words. And after the deep voice of the male narrator, it was even more insulting. I much preferred this male narrator over the other one. I felt that he really captured the hardcore essence of Kazmir.

Now the storyline was awesome as usual. I loved the depth that Ms. Wright added to the minor characters really rounded out the story for me. I liked the intrigue and detail that she added to the entire series. I really hope there is at least one more to tie up the loose ends. And who wouldn't want to go to the wedding of the Lion and the Mouse!!

One of my favorite series of all time

Love this storyline and the cast of characters is amazing!! I have read this twice but this was the 1st time I ventured into the audio version. The narrators aren't terrible but accents are always difficult and if done wrong can border on offensive...I think we were getting close to that line here. Also, with the description of the male lead I was expecting a deeper more commanding voice and this narrator just did not deliver so it took something away from the story for me. He wasn't horrible and did try to give the characters distinct voices so I will probably listen to the others in the series anyway because I just love the story.

Can't go on

I am not one for quitting a series especially after so many books in but I have picked up and put down this series so many times that I just CAN NOT! I can't keep listening to her getting physically raped, mentally raped, emotionally raped and never addressing it. Wolf or no wolf.

I think I have been very generous along the way and have forgiven quite a bit---the gratuitous love scenes at the most inopportune times that does NOTHING to further the plot, the referring to private parts as "bits", the super-magical medicine that can do everything from grant you super-telepathy to turn you into anything you need to be to survive. But I kept reading because I thought this would be the book that she finally gets what she has always wanted...her HEA. But noooooooo! She turns that down instantly. And instead runs back to a man (vampire) who mentally raped her a few books back and took away her free will. How she could ever trust Quinn enough to relax enough to allow an orgasm after that ultimate betrayal is beyond me.

I am done. I don't even care how it ends at this point. I don't think I have ever been this close to the end of ANYTHING and quit like this. It's tantamount to running a marathon, getting to the finish line ribbon and instead of running through just walking off to the side & taking off your number. If that gives you any indication of exactly how done I am. Take my advice and stop at book 1. Oh this author will try to hook you with her pseudo-cliff-hangers but ultimately its not worth it!!

RomCom is not really my thing but...

This was not a bad choice for my 1st foray into the genre of romantic comedy. It was short & sweet if not a bit predictable. The narrators were good bordering on great, the female >>the male. Worth my drive time for sure.
