Predictable but good

I was hooked right from the start. Really great performance by AJ Cook from #criminalminds and the story was thrilling to listen to. My problem with it was it being really predictable. For most of the story you suspect who the predator is and therefore it comes as no shock when it's revealed. How it is revealed is interesting and gripping, though. And the one thing I wanted to hear once we learned who the predator is was how Chloe felt when she learned the truth but that was never shared with us. Still, it was a memorable book with interesting characters and a great narration.

something was missing

The story was boring, to me. On the one hand it kept me guessing until the end but on the other hand I didn't get invested with the characters and didn't care either way. It felt like something was missing. It needed something a little more thrilling to keep me interested.

Confusing

The first thing I will say it skip the audiobook and read this one on your own. It's not that the audiobook was bad... The narrator was great BUT I think because there were so many characters to keep track of it would have been better with at least a couple narrators. It was confusing for me. I also grew bored with it about ⅓ of the way through and didn't get excited to finish it until about ⅔ of the way through. Even then, waiting for the ending felt like it took too long.

Worth the listen

when I first started listening It was very distracting how similar it was to the book Verity by Colleen Hoover. the intro to the wife upstairs is nearly identical to the intro to Verity but by the end of the book is pretty different. Worth listening.

Cute Addition

I think this was a cute addition to it ends with us but not nearly as good as it ends with us. I love seeing Lily and Atlas together but I feel like I wanted a little bit more of everything. more tension, more conflict, more drama, more passion. it all fell short for me.

not what I expected

It sounded like a great idea for a book but I didnt find the main character believable. It felt like all of th sudden, out of nowhere, she had fallen in love. I also thought it would give more insight into the two personalities. Overall this book fell flat for me. plus, I had to speed up the narration to 1.25 because they were talking soooooooo slow.

Keeps You Guessing

The bin was able to keep me guessing the whole time. There were so many suspects and it's not until the very end that you find out what really happened. Overall it was a good listen

My least favorite far

i have read almost everything by CH and this is my least favorite so far. Tates character just seems needy and pathetic.
