The series is getting better!
Revisado: 07-31-24
I like that book 4 focuses more on the dungeon and its interactions with the population. The story is progressing nicely and the newest extension of the dungeon is literally out of this world. The dungeon is still dangerously close to being OP, but not quite there yet. Interested to see where this goes.

New female narrator
Revisado: 07-30-24
There’s lots of war and battles in book 3. It’s not bad, but it would be more fun if more of the story focused on the dungeon and inventions for the city. Overall the story is progressing nicely and a bigger story is fleshing itself out nicely.
The replacement of the female narrator is an upgrade from the last books as she uses more emotion in the storytelling. However, I’m not a fan of her choice for the female lead as she went from friendly and approachable to aristocratic and arrogant in voice and delivery of lines. It feels like it changes the whole tone of her place in the book.

I like where the story is going
Revisado: 07-29-24
Book 2 introduces more backstory to the world, has some great action, and it’s fun to see how the dungeon host handles a plethora of problems that come his way. The dungeon is starting to feel like it might be a little too overpowered, but it’s still reasonable at the moment. Hopefully this will not get too out of control and unbelievable as the series progresses. So far, this is an interesting series with potential. The narration could benefit from more emotion and the readers matching their pacing better. Not a deal breaker, but something to know going in.

Interesting robotic take on dungeons
Revisado: 07-27-24
This is a strong story that suffers greatly from subpar narration. Specifically, the two narrators differ greatly in pacing which caused me to have switch the narration speed after every chapter. Between 1.2 and 1.5. There also could have been much more emotion and life delivered. As it stands, it felt more like being told a story than having it brought to life. This distracted greatly from what appears to be a clever story with the potential for much world building and discovery. I’m interested to see where it goes despite the narration.

Measurably better than the last...but
Revisado: 07-20-24
There is more substance and story here in book 5 than that which was noticeably absent from book 4. However, it feels like a miss there was not way more focus on interactions with the dragon. I would have loved if most of the book was centered on Waldo working the dragon to make a deal and potentially heal her wounds. Instead, this was maybe 10-15 min of the book. If this series could be expanded similarly to the Wandering Inn series, it would be a wildly popular breakout. The world building and characters here are top notch.
I still really enjoy the series and especially appreciate the fantastic narration bringing both male and female voices to life with such variety. I'm looking forward to the next book!

Forgettable
Revisado: 07-19-24
Nothing really happens in this book to move the story forward. All you really need to know is the kingdoms have gone to war in a very uninteresting way. Total filler book. Still part of a good overall story, just not as substantive as the other books.

So worth the listen
Revisado: 07-17-24
This series is what Caverns and Creatures could have been without all the disgusting references and fraternity humor. It's a fun ride with a ton of humor and a grand adventure that will keep you listening until the last book. I mistakenly thought the books were going to include some sort of powered rabbit or something, which is actually not the case. The main character himself takes on the guise of Waldo Rabbit and proceeds to over power, out think, and out luck his way out of many fun and interesting storylines. Great writing and great narration.

Revisado: 07-17-24
This book is the perfect length for the story presented and has several very fun storylines that all come together nicely by the end. Waldo the cult leader is just perfect and makes me excited to see what else pops up in the series. The books feel like what Caverns and Creatures could have been without the disgusting references and fraternity humor. Just a fun ride!

They are headed to Norwich, where they hope to find the third monster that will be Waldo's last familiar. But things are never as simple as they seem. An archlich, White Mage, and murderous rabbits all stand in the way. Yes, that's right, the murderous flesh eating rabbits make their appearance! Waldo is both the hunter and the hunted.

So Much Fun
Revisado: 07-17-24
I've had this series in my library for awhile, not really sure if it was going to be great or a dud. It turns out this story is nothing but fun, never hesitating to make fun of the situation or itself. It's nice to have a series with humor and and overall grand purpose that will carry you through to the end of the series. Highly recommended for a fun easy listen.

Historia
Years ago, Morgan and his team entered the Tower of Power. By the time they left, their raid group was reduced to only a handful of its members. They had faced the Tower and forces that they were never supposed to know about, and they had paid a high price to survive, but they had prevailed. Within the Tower they had learned the secrets and achieved great power. But now, they were in the Tower so long, and the world on the outside was different from what they had faced in the Tower. Morgan had been given a choice: to stay in the Tower or to leave the World and join his father - Oxylus.

More of a short story
Revisado: 07-10-24
After finishing the last book, I can say the entire series feels like an extended short story. Even if all the books were offered as one download, none of the story reached the potential of the characters and world the author built. This is a shame as both are incredibly interesting as concepts with details I’ve not seen in other litRPG series.
This last book is far too short to be worth a credit. I’ve gotten through the entire series as free books with the plus account. If I had to spend credits, I would recommend the way of the Shamen, Chaos Seeds, or Awaken Online. This authors Infinite Realm series is also worth picking up.
