Very important topic. A few good bits. Much didn't land with me.
I think the book is meant for people with executive ambitions, although some lessons are good for everyone. The discussion of "track switching" I thought was useful.
Overall, I feel it's improving giving feedback that's more critical.

This isn't a bad story - it just didn't particularly grip my attention. I don't intend to continue the series.

A World War 2 pilot is mysteriously transported to an alternate Earth that is almost exactly like our own, but set two years earlier in the war, and with several squads of all female pilots. He leads them in battle and beds several of them.

If you like discussion of different kinds of WW2 aircraft, their armaments, pilot slang and names of aerial combat maneuvers, this is for you.

This wasn't a bad book. There are things I like about it. It's a different approach to a post-apocalyptic future. There's adventure. Hot girls!

It just didn't really grab me, not sure why. I don't see myself continuing the series.

But I appreciate some of the things the author did - such as presenting traditional liberal views, but from a macho man perspective that could make them easier to swallow for some people.

Or having one girl enjoy being submissive and calling the protagonist "Sir" or "Master." It was only a tiny, tiny piece of D/s, but still, better than nothing.

Extremely short, but useful, even if the bulk of the advice boils down to "afternoon naps can be useful." The book delves into many details aspects of napping - athletes, babies, Alzheimer's, etc. However, if you struggle with sleep, the author's full-sized book "Hello Sleep" would be better.

Recommended. Make your religious relatives read it.
Makes a solid case for evolution, providing many interesting facts, some new to me.
Some of the humor was a bit cheesy and doesn't necessarily age well.
Interesting bits about how life could have evolved and where it might be found outside of Earth.

It's alright. As usual, the Soundbooth Theater production, with a variety of voice actors plus music and sound effects, is terrific.

The plot wasn't bad, mind you. It was nice that the god-killing protagonist was faced with situations that challenged it. And there were some plot points advanced from book to book.

But on the whole, it wasn't nearly as engrossing as the early books. I was wondering how much longer I should keep following the series, so I appreciated the note at the end of the book that "we're nearing the end." Hopefully there aren't many books left in the series.

Darker than what I usually like. Fans of Black Mirror will love this.
Evil corporations. Engineers inventing without asking if they should. The dark side of biohacking. Romance, explosions, action.
The author clearly looked up various science/engineering terms to add without always using them. Not everything makes sense.
But still, an entertaining story.

Interesting twist on fantasy tropes: elves are stronger and faster than humans, but magically enhanced humans are stronger and faster than elves.

Pretty decent overall.

Glad there are male and female voice actors, but I don't like the chapter-based approach. Please, always have dialogue for male characters read by the male narrator and have dialogue for female characters consistently read by the female narrator.

I enjoyed this, although the author in this series has an unfortunate tendency to use racial stereotypes.

It's been a while since this book came out. It's not clear to me if there will be more books in the series or not. But this book definitely doesn't conclude the series - there are several major plotlines that are nowhere near being resolved.

Unhelpful framing devices (pilgrimage, chaucer, tales)
Winced at author's belief that not tracking race on government forms would end racism.
Interesting animal facts, leading up to information on the beginnings of life and what sort of animals are and are not likely to evolve elsewhere.
Could be better, but not bad.
