Resumen del Editor

Four years ago, Judith and her best friend disappeared from their small town of Roswell Station. Two years ago, only Judith returned, permanently mutilated, reviled and ignored by those who were once her friends and family.

Unable to speak, Judith lives like a ghost in her own home, silently pouring out her thoughts to the boy who's owned her heart as long as she can remember - even if he doesn't know it - her childhood friend, Lucas.

But when Roswell Station is attacked, long-buried secrets come to light, and Judith is forced to choose: continue to live in silence, or recover her voice, even if it means changing her world, and the lives around her, forever.

This startlingly original audiobook will shock and disturb you; it will fill you with Judith's passion and longing; and its mysteries will keep you feverishly listening until the very last word.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Every now and then, a novel comes along with such an original voice that readers slow down to savor the poetic prose. This is such a story." (Kirkus, starred review)

"...suspenseful and haunting. [Julie's] poetic narrative will draw readers in, and the gradual unveiling of secrets will keep them absorbed." (Publishers Weekly, starred review)

"Lyrical language, a good mystery, and a compelling heroine–this is a page-turner with substance." (School Library Journal, starred review)

Fuck. 𝕐𝔼𝕊.

one of the very few books I've ever bought a copy of. even though I've read it once before, listening to it now it still conveys emotion so well that I was worried about what was going to happen to Judith, even though I knew what the ending was going to be. listening to this audiobook was the entire reason I got audible in the first place and I don't regret it. I hope others get the same enjoyment I did out of this; if they didn't, I'd think them to be crazy.

Cover is misleading, stick with it!

At the beginning, after reading the blurb, seeing the picture of a young woman with heavy eye makeup, her hair down in a modern way, I expected a modern day story. This is not the case, in such a great way!
The opening chapters actually irritated me, being so short, mere sentences sometimes.
The narrator was sheer perfection! Her voice was exactly correct, even the way she read each chapter numbers reflected what was to follow.
This was a really different book to listen to, it is very confusing at the outset. Stick with it. All shall be revealed.
I was listening to it every chance that I could. This is probably one of the most gripping stories I have listened to, certainly not in a novel, that isn’t labeled as a mystery or a suspense genre.
The finale was satisfying and wonderful.

Very enjoyable

Where does All the Truth That's in Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is in my top three. A little different from my usual thriller or horror choices but worth it. I really enjoyed listening to the narrator - she had good flow and pleasant tone. The whole story was very well written and the author made sure not to give too many clues as to what was going to happen next or what happened in the past.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how the story developed through the main characters telling of events and how the characters evolved. In the beginning there are a few characters you are meant to hate but as the story evolves your view of them will change. This is definitely a book I would listen to again - very enjoyable.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite is near the end when Judith finds the strength within her she had all along.

Who was the most memorable character of All the Truth That's in Me and why?

The main character, Judith, was the most memorable not just because she is the one telling the story but because she is the one who changes the most.

Any additional comments?

My only complaint is that it was too short. I was sad that it was over so soon. I'm looking forward to listening to other books by Julie Berry.

Julie Berry knows human nature

Julie Berry is a talented and versatile story writer. Her characters blossom into people you root for, hate, and want to throttle. Despite disgust you may feel as you read this story it wont disappoint. Finish to the end. Kathleen McInerney brings it to life with her narration invoking you to visualize and feel by her tone of voice. The heroine speaks a very telling line that is so true: “Listeners hear what they choose to hear.”

It’s okay

For me, it took a little bit before I was able to become engrossed in the story, but after listening for an hour or so it became interesting. It’s something I would only read once though. Kathleen McInerney narrated the story flawlessly though, she really brought the characters to life.
