Resumen del Editor

Tantrums. Talking back. Throwing toys or food. Meltdowns. Slamming doors. Kids know just how to push your buttons. You've tried all sorts of methods, but nothing seems to work.

That's because you're not addressing the root reasons for why kids misbehave, says international parenting expert Dr. Kevin Leman. In this book, he reveals exactly why kids misbehave and how you can turn that behavior around with practical, no-nonsense strategies that really work...and are a long-term win for both of you.

With his signature wit and wisdom, Dr. Leman helps you see through your child's eyes, revealing why they do what they do, who they learn their behaviors from, and why they continue behaving badly. He identifies the stages of misbehavior, where your child is on the spectrum, and how to not only avoid escalating bad behavior but get on the front end and turn it around for good.

By the end of this audiobook, you'll be smiling at the transformation in yourself, your child, and your home.

amazing

loved it and it made more sense then anything I've ever tried. I love that I had already learned to not respond but adding the giving control over to them and taking accountability and finally the apology for all my short comings in the past

Must read for every parent!

I was having difficulty dealing with my three-year-old grandson and his behavior. Since I am his primary caregiver I knew I needed to find some help. Then I remembered I had once read one of Kevin Lehman‘s books and it helped with my kids.

So I search for another one of his books hoping it could help and found this one. I began listening to it immediately. And within just a couple of days using his advice and altering my actions in dealing with my grandson I saw results! Bravo Dr. Lehman and thank you for all your help I will be looking at some of your other books to see if they can also provide some additional assistance.

No thanks

I bought this book not because my child is misbehaving but really thinking that maybe I just prep myself if/ when this starts happening, but boy was I annoyed listening to this book. So many stereotypes and prejudices about roles and behaviors. I am a working mom and was raised (pretty successfully) by working parents and yet the author starts with stating one of the parents need to stay home to raise kids that don’t misbehave. He then classifies moms, dads, and kids into stereotypical roles based on their birth order, etc. Little of it was relatable to me and I found the material to be a bit.. dated perhaps in its thinking. Full disclosure I stopped half way through. Not for me.
