Right from the start Anderson’s narration draws you in. I have come to realize, if history lessons in school had been taught with the passion that Anderson has for history, I may have payed attention! I have listened to every book he has written and anxiously wait for more. Americas, history and mystery is so much more than what was in our textbooks. I truly recommend this for anybody who walks through New York City, and wonders about the architecture and the opulence of what they are seeing as we stroll through them. Many go to places like the Plaza Hotel to take that photograph to post on Instagram but little take the time to learn the history behind many of these historical sites.
Bravo Anderson and thank you for sharing the mystery of early wealth and lifestyle!

Very good information. Well written and read. A lot of what we already know but don’t follow. I loved all the information on thyroid disease and Hashimoto. Extremely useful I will be taking it to my doctors office.

This is probably the worst narrated book I’ve ever listen to on here. Tessa made me want to kill myself or at least throw this book in the ocean and her rambling and rambling and rambling was just so stupid. Thought it would be a fun read because I love Greece but Definitely not

A sweet little story. Getting ready for summer in Capri and dreaming of the lemons that grow and the aroma of Italy.

Every chapter, every experience and being able to walk and listen to Stanley was beyond enjoyable. Food is love in our family and we are always finding ourselves eating, drinking and laughing. I love hearing the joy and love in his heart and how although life gave him some lemons, multiple times, he didn’t allow it to take his joy and passion for life. After losing my brother whom I cooked for almost everyday, this book is helping me to start turning my lemons into the things that I always loved once again! Thank you for this gift of pure love💚

After losing my brother, a friend sent me this book. Grief has been overwhelming and taking over my every thought. I do t know where to go with it and it seems to me not does anyone else who has lost a great love. Thoughts flow in and out of one’s mind and reliving the death of a loved one is painful, confusing and difficult. But it seems to be normal. I don’t know if I would recommend this to anyone because I am finding we all have to figure this out by just going through it.

In listening to Katie tell her version of the stories of her life, I laughed, I cried and felt the power of change. Only once or twice was I surprised by some of the things I heard, however I was never shocked by any of it. Nobody, other then any of the people who still have ghosts in their closets, should be shocked or outraged by this book. And until you have read it you probably need to learn to hold your words. Only a weak man uses the “C” word to describe a woman they fear. Bravo Katie Couric this was truly a wonderful listen. With my 57 ur old brother fighting right now for his life as he battles colon rectal cancer, your journey will and has helped me. And for that I can’t thank you enough.

It’s a must listen! I always knew I loved Jessica. Some how there are people we don’t have to personally know and they are put into our life to give us tools to grow. I feel so much self emotion and growth from what she shared in her book. How hard but yet how powerful to open yourself up and heal.
