Story
It has taken almost five years for the United States of Europe to stabilize its position in 17th-century Europe. Now it turns its attention to the New World, where the English have ceded their colonial claims to France. There are vast lands and rich resources across the Atlantic for any nations powerful enough to rule and control them—and equal incentive for other nations to block their path.

I've followed this series since the original 1632 came out. I have favorites, couldn't get into some of the later ones (like the Mughal), and got over the drift away from the main characters. The new World has taken some getting used to but I did enjoy Eddie Cantrell in the Caribbean. But what's going on with the Louisiana oil group? It just ended there and now we're in Jamestown...I don't really get the reasoning behind this particular story and the abrupt ending leaves me hanging wondering how this story got into the mix. It's not bad, just really light and confusing. I have a feeling Flint wasn't very involved with the story.

Story
Simon is the best delivery boy that Mr Edwards’s restaurant has ever had. He’s on time every time, and he’s gotten nothing but good reviews. But he needs more money. His mother’s medical treatment won’t pay for itself, and his father is already working three jobs to try to make ends meet. But it might just be his lucky day: Mr. Edwards has another job for him. It’s more delivery work, but not the usual kind. You might even say that it’s out of this world. Oh well. Beggars can’t be choosers, and the pay is fantastic.

I was really looking forward to a new series by this author after enjoying the Hungry Dragon series so much. Disappointment! Perhaps my expectations were too high but I couldn't even listen to the entire book. Skimmed ahead and then I skimmed the entire story. It was a decent premise but too over the top. The Guinea Pig just wasn't all that cute and the snarks of the characters were both foreseeable and mundane. Sorry to say I won't be following this series.

Struggled until it became Exceptional
Reviewed: 07-10-22
I've been through a lot of boredom looking for an author/ series to entertain me until my pre-ordered favorites are available and it's been an ordeal of listening to mediocre and bad stuff. Downloaded this because it was free, highly rated, and wouldn't add to my returned book total. I listen to so many books that Audible starts questioning my returns after awhile.
Struggled with it and quit until I was desperate for anything decent. Noticed this unfinished and downloaded in my library. Decided to give it another shot before removing it as I learned from my first Tolkien book, Fellowship of the Ring, at age 15, that I would miss a lot of great reads if I hadn't persisted until Friday left the Shire and the story really began. Success! After Siv woke up the story grabbed me and I enjoyed the rest .
Just started the download of the next book. I'll get the Prequel when I've finished the other available books. And, wonder of wonders, the next book is free! Don't mind paying for a good read but it's always a joy to get one for free considering some of the dogs I've paid for and not returned. When you buy 12 or more books a month they make returning 3 or 4 difficult.
Anyway, I'm going to look for more from this author after I finish what's available in this series.

This series surprisingly took me over in the first book and I've been craving more ever since. The characters are delicious and entertaining from Timmy (can you hear South Park?) the somewhat good Necromancer and his delightfully proper, 10-year old Apprentice, Katie. Their sidekicks are Ninja Rats, the country's finest bureaucrat, a pyromaniac wood elf with her hungry dragon hatchling, and a vampire who is constantly destroying her clothes and ending up nude!
Please continue the storyline! Can't wait to find out what happens between Timmy, Vicki, and James (lmao). The novellas are nice but they don't move the story on.

Story
What started as a flu outbreak on a military base proves deadlier than Ebola. Sympatico Syndrome is unlike anything the world has ever seen. Victims' behavior is changing to accommodate the rapid spread of the virus. Former Navy epidemiologist Cole Evans is well aware of the rare, infectious diseases the military studies. He also knows the government's stance on sharing information with the public, so if the media has already learned about the disease, then it's too late to contain the outbreak.

I've enjoyed most of this series but the last books, since Espero, hasn't lived up to the quality of the first half of the series.
This book was better than the last but a really weak ending to one of my favorite series.
Last, the new narrator mangled my enjoyment. Why change a great narrator for one that slaughters the pronunciation of DASETA. Omnia is my favorite book and every time Ms. Poole mispronounces the word it throws me out of the story.

Gutsy and her friends, along with Benny and his crew, have just survived a massive attack on New Alamo by the Night Army - a mix of mindless shambling los muertos and sentient half-zombie ravagers. She's also reeling from the revelation that the residents of her town were the lab rats of the biological testing facility linked to creating the most dangerous zom, the Raggedy Man, who controls all of the living dead. And the first raid was only a test. The real Night Army is coming, and this time, it'll be a handful of survivors against seven billion zombies.

Story
An existence spent being forced to kill others to satiate a Monster. Where the only thing to look forward to was the blessed, if brief, period of time between paying that bribe. Except that very same Monster is and isn’t Rene. It just happened to live inside his own mind and force him to do what it wanted. Rather than being an actual Monster. That was Rene’s entire life until a fateful day changed that. A day that the career as a hitman for hire built on the Monster’s needs will end. Where Rene will be forced to atone for his actions. To be held accountable and judged.

Story
In the 27th century, international disputes are resolved through time travel, “clocking” soldiers from the future into conflicts of the past. It seemed like an elegant idea: Wartime industries drove the economy without actually putting nations through the physical ravages of war. And since the past already happened, history could not be changed. So went the theory. What could possibly go wrong?
