The Good, the Bad, and the Barbie Audiobook By Tanya Lee Stone cover art

A rather short examination of Barbie. The scope of the work vs the length given leaves chapters feeling like there is a lot to be expanded on. However, this book does a good job of balancing positive and negative opinions that have been made about Barbie

My favorite in the series as it for sure found it's footing. I really enjoyed this series characters and how they really worked together in this book. This edition balanced the problems wonderfully to the point where neither felt incomplete or rushed by the end. Overall, I'm going to miss reading this series

The story in this one is up-to-par with the previous book. There are some unanswered questions at the end that leave the reader ready to start the next story.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Overall, this book was pretty average so the time I spent on it wasn't wasted, but wasn't treasured either.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

While it was a retelling, it lack anything new that makes retellings compelling to read.

Would you consider the audio edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Book 4 to be better than the print version?

Yes, the narrator's voice make each character distinct and bring the story to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Book 4?

My pick for this is either the Quidditch World Cup or when the other schools arrive for the Triwizard Tournament, but for the same reason: they both expand on the wizarding world.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Dobby helps Harry because “Dobby cannot let Harry Potter lose his Wheezy!”

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Everything in regards to Cedric Diggory, but particularly this quote said by Dumbledore: “Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.”

Where does Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Book 3 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In ranking among the other Harry Potter books I find Prisoner of Azhaban to be towards the middle, but that is more due to story than narration.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hagrid. You see him becoming more than just the Groundskeeper in this one and it's a delight.

Which character – as performed by Jim Dale – was your favorite?

Hagrid again. I love Jim Dale's voice for Hagrid.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

For the rest of the book it doesn't particularly matter; however, when it comes to the section where they use the Time Turners, I find it most entertaining to listen to that section all at once.

Where does A Court of Mist and Fury rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among my favorites. It expands on a world that was starting to grow in the first book while showing you why it was necessary for there to be more than one book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rhysand. Sarah J. Maas has the ability to make you barely tolerate a character then bring them to the point where they are your favorite, making you question why you didn't love them immediately. It makes for great rereading material.

Which character – as performed by Jennifer Ikeda – was your favorite?

Feyre followed by Rhysand. Feyre is the title character in this book, so the performer should make that character your favorite, but Jennifer Ikeda captures the cat-likeness of Rhsyand.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

While it's length may seem off-putting for a book you'd want to listen to in one setting, I found myself wanting to know things faster and faster.

Would you listen to The Kind Worth Killing again? Why?

Normally I would not want to listen to mysteries or thrillers again, but something about how I didn't see the twists coming leaves me wanting to reread it with the twists in mind to see if I can pick up on them.

What did you like best about this story?

As someone who normally sees twists coming, the twists in this left me wondering how I missed that.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I love when audiobooks have different narrators for each chapter character and each voice for this story was unique.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

All in one sitting for sure. The story is compelling and leaves you wanting to know more.
