Not what I was expecting in this thrilling book. I was surprised multiple times while listening to this. At first I was not liking the way the author referred to the characters but after a while I got it. This is a twisty story but it is wildly entertaining as well. The characters are easily likable(most anyway) but some I just don’t understand their way of thinking. The narrative was well done and enjoyable to listen to.

What a Story! I loved the characters as well as the storyline. It almost a ripped from the headlines piece. I was shocked, surprised and even laughed or smirked while reading. It is a fast paced story that easily kept my interest.
The characters in here are smart and witty. It was wonderful watching the FBI agent grow and change while the story moved along. I enjoyed her rigid by the book attitude but it was nice to see her loosen up now and then. Angie’s ordeal..just Wow! I was pleased to see her become stronger as the story progressed. This does have a few secret guests that bring witty banter and eye rolling to the forefront. I liked that the author did not put these two to the front but rather treated them like secondary characters. They did not steal the show but helped enhance the other characters.
Overall this is an eye opener about abductions. The title says it all! I highly recommend this author and this book. It kept me on my toes and gave a look inside the minds of the victim, the police and the kidnapper.

Quite an emotional listen. Tearjerkers be aware! It is also a captivating storyline and characters that bring out the heart in anyone. I did not listen to the first in the series and did feel a couple times I was unsure what and who. That Grandmother is a piece of work! Narration is very well done.

So many great moments in this one! First off Wyatt and his “freshies” as well as thoughts about just being a character in a book. That Man! Haha! That Houdini! Always causing trouble? Or looking out for Raven? Also Crush cracked me up with his dog. I am loving this the further I get into this. That Lenoire….she is a sneaky one! Action, suspense and drama makes my heart happy!

Another amazing story in this series! I really love every second of these characters as I never know what will happen next. There are some shocks and surprises in here! Its nice seeing the whole group back together. In here Raven gets to work her own gig and will do anything to make sure it works out because she feels she has to prove something to the Keystone team.
Nicole pool is amazing as always in here!

Thrilling Ending to Series!
Reviewed: 08-02-24
I really love the idea for this series! Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine life after being a POW. These men and women have been through a lot and this book is the ending we have been waiting for. April and JJ have been skirting around their feelings and it all comes to a head in here. Both have reasons for not acting on the attraction but the accident makes them both come to see the light. I like the connection and patience these two have with each other. The author does a good job creating drama and involving the whole team and their women. This one has all the action, drama, suspense and romance that I come expect with these books.
I listened to this on audio. Mackenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton are the narrators. They both are enjoyable to listen to and always bring their A game!

I can’t help but say that after listening to this, I need to make a trip to this place and see these free roaming animals that have a escaped to live in a better place. at first I was hesitant thinking. I had grabbed the wrong book but as a story roll along, I became invested and interested in her stories. I specifically liked the animals side of the stories, but the growing up played an important part in the telling of this. I really did like her mother’s attitude on things. I listened to this on audio Erin Moon did a great job on the narration.

I enjoyed this final book in the series. I really rooted for Sam since the last book. But I didn’t know how he would become normal again. The author did a wonderful job bringing out the sorrow and aloneness that he felt. Not belonging and feeling no connection to his brothers or Bryson. Luckily the boys don’t give up on Sam. Wes starts him on the right path then Bryson offers him assistance. I loved how the author makes him wholeish again. Cassidy is a wonderful girl and I can’t think of anyone else who could do what she did for Sam. Her job being the highlight that brings them together. I enjoyed her sass i was with his brothers. That was awesome!
The epilogue was exactly what we were waiting for ever since Sam showed back up. Such a wonderful ending to this crew.

OMG! I love this book so much!! Well all except that ending. But otherwise..EXCELLENT! The story is captivating filled with a heartwarming bond between him and these dogs. It also took me on a adventure making this a book I could not put down! I laughed ridiculously at the pre-Iditarod scenes and well…a few times after but mostly I was interested in the crazy ride as I soaked up his first-timer thrill, chills and knowledge. This is one I will listen to again and again.
Danny Campbell is the narrator. He seemed a little soft so I had to turn the sound way up but other than that he did an excellent job.

Story
Lost on Purpose is the nonfiction adventure narrative of a former technology executive who took leave of the real world to reinvent himself as a 21st-century mountain man. In October-November 2013, Patrick Taylor crossed the Rocky Mountains alone on foot. He passed through one of the largest wilderness areas in the lower 48 to reach and retrace the route of Lewis and Clark in the winter. The sacrifices - vocationally, financially, emotionally - are measured against the benefits by the author in a refreshingly honest, humorous, and inspirational fashion.
