What’s in a name? A lot. The name Tinaca, for example, has been passed down in the Jones family for generations of women. In fact, the Joneses name a Tinaca every other generation, to let the name breathe a little. To let each Tinaca shine. And shine is exactly what Tinaca Jones intends to do.

Story
Elena McMahon walks off the presidential campaign she has been covering for a major newspaper to do a favor for her father. Elena's father does deals. And it is while acting as his agent in one such deal - a deal that shortly goes spectacularly wrong - that she finds herself on an island where tourism has been superseded by arms dealing, covert action, and assassination. The Last Thing He Wanted is a tour de force - persuasive in its detail, dazzling in its ambiguities, enchanting in its style.

Story
Austen wrote, 'I am going to take a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like' and thus introduces the handsome, clever, rich - and flawed, Emma Woodhouse. Emma is perfectly content with her life and sees no need for either love or marriage; nothing however delights her more than matchmaking her fellow residents of Highbury. But when she ignores the warnings of her good friend Mr. Knightley and attempts to arrange a suitable match for her protegee Harriet Smith, her carefully laid plans soon unravel and have consequences that she never expected.

Why ruin the book with this production
Reviewed: 02-19-20
The excitement of audible is that you are able to still quietly hear a book/story. The dramatics where distracting. The constant sound effects ruined this book for me to the point that I just stopped and got the book from the library.

Story
Perhaps the most brilliantly successful ghost story ever written, The Turn of the Screw creates a terrifyingly believable impression of innocent children so corrupted by evil that they remain deceptive pictures of innocent beauty. Their governess must struggle alone to confront and exorcise the demons that she believes possess their souls....

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed. Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name.

I enjoyed this story which displays a typical tale of police brutality against African Americans. However the underlings narrative of a functional, supportive and loving African American family was heartfelt and inspiring.

Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who've long forgotten her.

I was searching Amazon for a completely unrelated product. for months prior i had been asking myself alot of questions, taking inventory of self and imagining what i would eventually leave behind upon death and what i have accomplished but also much of thought process was circled on how i have allowed others to hurt me and affect me negatively... I literally said, "You Can't Hurt Me" to myself the day prior to being on Amazon shopping. My word search inexplicably resulted in this book popping up as first option. I had literally JUST uttered these words the day prior! it hit me smack dead in my face like a Mike Tyson knockout punch. i never heard of David Goggins or his story. but the book title resonated so much, i knew it was for me. i purchased the book and immediately knew it had to be powerful message because it was on back order! A month later my book arrived. once i started reading i was completely sucked in. I'm approximately 10-11 years older than David, but his message and story have given me an entire new perspective on life, my life, my thought process, and how to be the best me i can be, and not allow not just others but also my fears to hurt me. this book has become my bible. I read it over and over and over again . learning and understanding something new each time. Thank you David for giving me new ambition, new life, and assisting me to begin a new committed transformation to become my own best version.
