this was well written and well read. I really enjoy learning about the Astors and the Vanderbilts. I also like the way the chapters were by years. the only bad thing I will say is if you're an animal lover, you may want to fast forward over how they dealt with the beaver pelts back in the day. other than that it was a fantastic book

Ashley I can't thank you enough for covering Su's murder. I grew up in Saugus so I remember this vividly and I also happen to know Marlene personally. every single thing the detective said about her is 100% the truth. Marlene is one of the nicest sweetest strongest women I have ever met in my life. I hope that this gets off someday because Marlene really does deserve answers as well as Su deserves Justice.

loved all the stories in side jobs and can't wait for the next one's, looking forward to the molly story.
i would also add to my original review for ghost story. i did listen on audio and john glover did a very good job filling in for james marsters. to me it sounded like mr glover listened to older books to try to be as close as possible to mr marsters. so give it a try, i did enjoy it and at times didn't even notice the difference in the voice.

I wish i had read the reviews before i got it and i haven't even listened yet. Like everyone else has said James Marsters is Harry Dresden, in voice, i can distinguish each and every character with him, as fans we would have waited for him. I also love John Glover in Smallville no one could have played Lionel better. I'll read it on my Kindle but i say re-record it.
