Liked the old narrator better.

I’ve really enjoyed all the books in this series, Dead West is no exception. My only problem is that they changed narrators. Bronson Pinchot did a fine job, but I’ve become used to the old narrator (McLeod Andrews) and wish he could have narrated the whole series.

The other side of the story, was a big miss for me. It deals a lot with infidelity, and I have a hard time caring about characters I don't like or respect. This book did however hold my interest. I would recommend only buying it if it's on sale. It contains strong language.

Story
In my defense, putting a fake ring on my best friend’s finger seems like a good idea at the time. My dad needs me to look like a committed guy to close a business deal, so what’s the harm in boasting to, well, everyone that I’m the marrying kind of man? Now, I just need my best friend to help me out and play my fiancée for the next week. Good thing Charlotte has her reasons for saying yes to my plan. Just as long as we agree to zero touching, and absolutely no feelings. I can do that no problem.

I could not stop listening to this book! It's sad yet hopeful, and totally addictive. The movie/book rating I would give it is PG-13 for strong language (without the F word) and implied sex. I would definitely recommend this book!!!

Story
For high-school senior Celeste Watkins, every day is a brutal test of bravery. And Celeste is scared. Alienated because she's too smart, her speech too affected, her social skills too far outside the norm, she seems to have no choice but to retreat into isolation. But college could set her free, right? If she can make it through this grueling senior year, then maybe. If she can just find that one person to throw her a lifeline, then maybe, just maybe.

With his work in Montana completed now that the Callahan-Warren feud has ended in marriage rather than bloodshed, Degan Grant sets out for California because it is far away from the home he wants to forget - until the US Marshal who saved his life calls in a favor. All Degan has to do is apprehend three outlaws on the marshal's list and turn them over to the law. Easy enough, he figures, for a man no one wants to tangle with. It amazes me that Johanna Lindsey has written so many books that I have enjoyed. Don't get me wrong there have been a few duds, but on the whole she is an awesome historical romance author! This book was an easy good trip back in time. If books had ratings like movies, this book would be rated PG-13, for sexual situations.

He's the love of her life, but he doesn't know it. She's his one moment of sacrifice in a lifetime of survival. He was damaged and wild but resilient. She's always been obedient; now she's restless. Home for the summer between college and med school, Pearl Torres Frank knows two things: Boyce Wynn is the embodiment of everything she should run from and everything she wants to run to. Rebellious and loud. Unconcerned with society's opinion of him. Passionate. Strong. Dangerous. And one more trait he hides from everyone but her: Sweet.

Tammara Webber is an auto buy author for me. So far I have really liked everything she has written. Sweet is an extension of Easy and Breakable, it's the story of Boyce, Lucas's best friend. Boyce has lived a pretty rough life, and it's nice to see some good things finally go his way. If books had ratings like movies, this book would be rated R for strong language and sex.

Story
I'm not your typical girl. I've been running away from the memories that haunt me for so long that depression has become my only comfort. I was content in the darkness...until Wes Michels offered to be my light. I didn't know that time wasn't my ally - that every second that ticked past was one step closer to the end of something that was beginning to mean the end of myself. He tried to warn me. He promised me all he was able to offer - each moment as it came - but it would never be enough.
