I've read/listen to more than a few books by this author and loved them all except for this one. The audiobook is not bad at all, but it was just missing something for me. At first, the story gave me Jacob's Ladder (the movie) vibes, but toward the end, it was just a no for me. The main character's "unhinging" was a bit much for me. I won't say too much, but this book was just okay for me.

Boring!

When the author stated, "Short" in her title, she really meant short. Not only were the stories short, but they were short and boring. There wasn't actually a story to any of the short stories in my opinion.

Wisteria Lane With A Dash Of Crazy

When I first started listening to this book, I will admit that I was a bit lost. The past and future started to trip me up, but I figured it out. This book gave me Desperate House Wives meets Fatal Attraction, and a sprinkle of Swingers. When I reached the middle of the book, I was hooked. It may have started off as a slow burn, but by the time it was over, I needed to call in the fire department, and a straight jacket, because without giving too much away, one character was bat caca crazy.

Oh What Have You Gotten Yourself Into Alice

I am a fan of Alice In Wonderland, and once I saw this title, I knew I had to read it. This book may be about the adventures of Alice In Wonderland, but in no stretch of the imagination is this like the Alice I grew up knowing and loving. The name of the characters were for the most part the same, but Alice went on an adventure like no other. She bucked her way through wonderland as if her life depended on it, and at one point it did, but not in the deadly way. While listening/reading this book, I wondered how it would be once she was reunited with her boyfriend Lewis, and oh boy did I find out. This was a pretty quick read/listen and I can't wait until I can listen to the rest of her adventures.

What A Wild Ride

Verity, Verity......where do I begin. This story is Absolutely nail biting and edge of your seat delicious. I have never ever read anything that kept me glued from the first page till the last page. I actually stopped the book because I didn't want it to end. The characters were amazing, naive/unknowing Loren, Verity (her character speaks for itself), the husband, sweet innocent Crew, the twins, the manuscript (yes, it was a character for me. It has its own life), and finally the letter. I am still in shock and awe about everything. Nothing is what you think it is or could even imagine. This is a must read and a full rollercoaster ride. Buckle up and enjoy.

Is A One And Done, Truly Ever A One And Done

I am so glad that I came across this series. First of all, my two favorite narrators there. Second, this book has it all romance, courtroom drama, a murder mystery, and family drama. This book was well written with just the right amount of sex, and the best part of it all is the storyline. What starts off as a one and done turns into so much more. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

O.M.G!!!! I have found a new favorite author

I absolutely loved audio book. This is my second title from this author and she has made my list of favorites. Now for the characters, Joe Arden's voice is so dang sexy, and Erin Mallon's voice is so smooth and sweet. They made these characters very believable, and I forgot this was a book. It felt as if I were spying on two people lives, and I forgot to bring popcorn. I am going to find my next book by Lauren Blakely as well as other titles with these narrators.

This Story Has It All

First, I am upset at all of my friends who read that did not tell me about this author. Second, I love love loved this book. This title contained everything and more. It has murder, suspense, mystery, humor, and some sex. I laughed out loud at Pug, especially when he talked about himself in the 3rd person. Marty was a hoot. I envisioned a semi big guy dressed as a woman performing in a bar with a white dress, red glittery lipstick, platinum blonde wig and a feather boa. I enjoyed every character, even the dog, which was a big baby, but when he ripped off her Chanel bag, I silently cheered, *Good Doggie". I can't wait to check out the other titles by this author.

So Good & I wanted more

I never wanted this story to end. I loved all of the characters, especially the hip and sassy grandmother, she was a hoot. This story is so perfect that it left me with a huge smile. Now if only love was this easy and simple. I would recommend this story to anyone who lives a good, sweet romance.
