So six women who were kidnapped and on the way to a sex / slave auction are now living with & going to help the main character save humanity. (it's 100 years in the future and technology is non existent - mind you the population of the world is fine there's no shortage of men AND they are actively recruiting mean and women to help bring the world back into modern times) They decide that each of them will take turns having sex with him because he can't pick just one partner since they all report to him. It would show favoritism. Dude go back to playing your video games
for the love of GOD. I don't know one female reader that could get past this wall/chapter!!

Usually you get short weird stories where authors get a chance to be artistic without the worry. This is NOT that kind of a group of tales!!
Most of these are scary. Some of these, and I LOVE horror books, I had to turn off & turn the lights on!! Truly scary.
I listened to the first one and half way through purchased the next 2 anthologies!!! It's that good!!!!

I accidentally read this out of order and I'm glad I did! It's a prequel and explains ALLOT!
Read Hope's End first. It's set in 1891 and tells you everything that's going on.
So basically a lady is being held by coworkers at a dig in the US southwest present day. Apparently they're waiting for something/someone. She, Stella, has an 8 year old boy with her named David. David is a Navajo. They are able to escape but are hijacked by bank robbers. Cole, the leader, his brother and three other men. They find an isolated cabin to wait out the storm. Two, including the brother are killed and the next night one of them comes back asking for something!!!!
You slowly get more info as to what is "out there" but if you read book 3 Hope's End it not only explains it but does not ruin or mess up anything. READ IT FIRST.
I love the series. My only complaint is that too many people freeze with a monster literally coming for them slowly and don't scream out for help or run. I can see some people doing that but more than one does in each book. It is a bit much!
I love the series and downloaded all four after reading Hope's End. I'm listening to one of his other books now "Sleep Disorders" and so far so good. Run don't walk to purchase!!!!! you will NOT regret it!!

OMG the author narrates and I cannot get past the first chapter (actually I skipped to mid book to see if it got better....it did NOT)
She draws out the last syllable of the last word in the sentence EVERY time!! I have 3154 titles in my library and I have never returned a book based on narration alone until now!!!!
I couldn't access the sample when I purchased this book & based it solely on the description which sounded amazing. I just checked and yes the annoying speech pattern is there in the sample. There's a youtuber with the name CHILLS and that's what she sounds like. Instead of standing out from the crowd she disperses it!!!

I love horror, scifi & post apocalyptic novels. Fantasy is not my thing. I hate struggling to envision the homes /cities , lands. I hate having to take notes on wild out there names. It gets tiring to try to undrstsnd the alienthing going on.
This was NONE if that!!!! Nothing too outrageous, no thromes knock offs, no sparkly vampires!!! This is the 2nd book but gives us the back story of our hero jack when he was a boy & just how he went from thieving kid to our hero brother jack! Ive listened to 1.5 & 1 in one day lol i just bought the nec one in the series! You’re going to one it!!!!

Holy cow this was good!! (he could write a book about leaves falling and I'd love it in all fairness) It's funny you can tell us Tufo fans because we LOVED this. The newbies were so-so. I think it's because we know the characters SO very well, we know what they've been through, what they're capable of that their unbreakable bonds will always shine through.
Comedy spot on as usual, Sean? genius and Tufo's writing supurb and entertaining as always!
You just simply cannot go wrong with spending a credit on Mike & the gang!

I liked this enough to search for book 2 ( not available yet)
Family, end of world, dealing with human scum. The dad seemingly had them prepare for it their entire life monsters & all ! Lone survivor brings the fight to them!
Little quirks with writing though! Heroine talking to partner we must go save her ….. uhhh people typically say “ we have to go save her” these are sprinkled throughout!! Its not how people talk in everyday life .!

First 3/4 are great but got a bit “messy”

The character development was great! The first half of the story was riveting but it got messy, confusing, convoluted the last 1/4. I couldn’t tell what was real, his brain tumor, the altitude or the demon. (& not in s good way) it just didn’t flow well or make much sense towards the end.
Overall well worth the credit. Narrator was PERFECT! Off to see if he has any other books. & hopefully the next one will be more cohesive! WORTH the credit!
