Story
The beautiful and tragic saga of the Louvin Brothers-one of the most legendary country duos of all time - is one of America's great untold stories. Charlie Louvin was a good, God-fearing, churchgoing singer, but his brother, Ira, had the devil in him and was known for smashing his mandolin to splinters onstage, cussing out Elvis Presley, and trying to strangle his third wife with a telephone cord.

Story
In You Can’t Joke About That, Kat Timpf shows why much of the way we talk about sensitive subjects is wrong. We’ve created all the wrong rules. We push ourselves into unnecessary conflicts when we should feel like we’re all in this together. When someone says “you can’t joke about that,” what they really mean is “this is a subject that makes people sad or angry.”

Story
New York Times best-selling author David Horowitz exposes not only the progressive war against Christianity but also a war against America and its founding principles - which are Christian in their origin. Dark Agenda is about an embattled religion, but, most of all, it is about our imperiled nation. Tackling a broad range of issues from prayer in the schools to the globalist mindset, Horowitz traces the anti-Christian movement to its roots in communism.

Fine book. Should be on the bookshelves of every person who cares about this country. Should be read and reread. It seems this country is approaching 1930's Germany in too many ways. We've got black shirts (read brown) and cities no sane person would visit. I hope this isn't the prelude to a shooting war but it's probably a vain hope. You can get executed in DC for just being there and the murderer gets a vote of thanks from the leadership.

Story
Stable, safe, predictable—all words that aptly describe Professor Nadia Day’s life. An existence she’s carefully crafted for herself despite her unconventional upbringing and what, to her, is an unseemly past. The last thing she would ever do is rock the boat when it comes to her life and livelihood. When retired football player and single dad, Nathan Moore, walks into her psychology classroom, all fine and dreadlocked, he does more than rock her boat—he rocks her world and causes her to question her buttoned-up existence.

As China undertakes historic economic reforms, a little girl in the southern city of Guangzhou immerses herself in a world of fantasy and foreign influences while grappling with the mundane vagaries of Communist rule. She happily immigrates to Oakland, California, expecting her new life to be far better. Instead, she discovers crumbling schools, unsafe streets, and racist people. In the land of the free, she comes of age amid the dysfunction of a city's brokenness and learns to hate in the shadows of urban decay. This gutsy woman describes what the news business mostly ignores. This book describes life in the intercity in modern America, a dangerous, depressing place. Her escape should be hope for those with the ambition to repeat her journey. It also shows the hell that misguided policies have created. We need statesmen, not political hacks, and we need them now.

I don't like the book and don' k know why!
Reviewed: 06-13-21
By my standards this is well written. I don't like flashbacks but that's personal preference. I can't point a finger at any one thing that turns me off. I think the author did a good workman like job but I guess this is not my cup of tea. I have little sympathy for the main character. Poor me shows up way too much. Others may find this the best thing since sliced bread - you
