The story builds at a good pace with character development. Lead character is an example of all the pieces of what makes a good leader. Identify a problem, develop options, take appropriate action. Looking forward to the next book.

Character development was a little vague. Hope the next book will have more depth. The ending left a little to be desired. Should have just said “to be continued “.

Story
Harry August is on his deathbed. Again. No matter what he does or the decisions he makes, when death comes, Harry always returns to where he began, a child with all the knowledge of a life he has already lived a dozen times before. Nothing ever changes. Until now. As Harry nears the end of his 11th life, a little girl appears at his bedside. "I nearly missed you, Doctor August", she says. "I need to send a message". This is the story of what Harry does next, and what he did before, and how he tries to save a past he cannot change and a future he cannot allow.

Progressive woke climate change in time travel
Reviewed: 12-14-23
This could have been a very interesting concept for a book if the author hadn’t gotten political with the failed conclusion of man’s effect on the climate. With so many people who live in their little bubble of information I’m sure those low information thinkers may find this scenario plausible regardless of what true science has clearly demonstrated.

Descriptive overload
Reviewed: 11-30-23
First, I’m a Dean Koontz fan. That being said, the amount of pontification to describe mundane parts of the story was over the top. The bloviating to describe scenes did not add to the story line and more often distracted from it. It was almost like an author trying to make a word count not painting a picture for the reader’s mind.
Still a Koontz fan, hope the next book flows better.

If you are a progressive fascist and like the woke distraction of society then this isn’t the book for you. Dean Koontz has panted a picture with his words that reveals the evil of those on the left. Great book! Hope there’s a second to continue the story.

Hard to get through!
Reviewed: 07-03-23
There is so much wasted text. The author pontificates and rambles on and on about nothing that contributes to the story. The lead character’s unrealistic response to those trying to kill him is so altruistic it becomes a character flaw instead of a attribute. I’m surprised he doesn’t find a tree to hug.

My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

The Knights Templars are the bad guys? Really! The author is terribly uninformed or ignorant. Or….he has an agenda. As the title of this review says, “you can’t fix stupid” so to try to educate the author would be pointless.

Written by an author who projects the results of progressive fascist activism and the failure it (communism, socialism) always brings and attempts to place it on God and conservatives. If you’re a woke snowflake this is the book for you. If you actually have a brain this should be a hard pass.
