This book is absolutely crazy. I mean it had me saying wtf is going on for the first half of the book. What??? A totally different take on a main character! This book is amazing. It's twisted, crazy and fun. The title will have you thinking one thing, but in the end, it is accurate.
I am most definitely getting the next book, I can't wait to see what the MC is going to do next. Hmm I forgot his name, well I think it was only said 1 time the whole book, which didn't matter 1 bit. This book is crazy! A must buy!!

Story
In a world full of super powers, Felix had a pretty crappy one. After learning to harness his ability to modify any item he owns, he now runs a corporation that is rapidly expanding - Legion. After tangling with the local Heroes guild they’ve finally settled into a semblance of stability. Sounds great on paper. Run your company, make money, be your own boss, settle down. Except that with running a business, comes an inordinate amount of responsibilities. Like making sure everything keeps running and your people are paid.

The main character's power is so OP it almost doesn't make sense.
Reviewed: 02-01-24
As always the narrative by Nick Podehl is excellent. The story is great I am definitely getting the next book.
SPOILER WARNING
Although I do dislike how over powered Felix's power is. It's to the point that it doesn't make sense that he hasn't used it to make technological miracles to literally rival the power of gods. If he made a device that took his maximum point value at 1 tiny piece at a time and then have Felicia assemble it boom. The possibilities are endless which makes it unrealistic.
Another glaring fault in the story line is Eva. First he modified her without knowing, and she is I am guessing a teenager at this time. The problem with that is for him to have given her all of the powers literally everyone else has which he CAN do, what he can't do is give you a power if you stats are not up to snuff I.E. Intelligence, Wisdom, Strength. I find it hard to believe he gave her all of the other powers without having to modify one or all of those stats! Especially since he had to up the stats other the primary power holders so THEY could have some of the powers like telekinesis. There is no way she wouldn't have noticed that.
Barring those few things the story is very enjoyable and I am definitely going to see what is next for LEGION.

Now this is the He Who Fights With Monsters books I fell in love with! Shirtaloon aka Travis writes so well it boggles the mind! I have thought a couple times how I would like to write a book, I have some ideas. Then I encounter a book like this and think yea right. I could never match the fantastic writing of these amazing authors.
It would also be unfair not to mention the narrator Heath Miller. He is Jason Asano as muck as Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man. He has absolutely nailed the character and I could never imagine anyone else saying the role. 5 starts all around.
The last few books did seem to slightly disappoint if I am being honest but I am so glad I stayed in it because this book was amazing and I can not wait to hear what happens in the upcoming transformation Zone.

Good book overall, starting to flagg. A bit...
Reviewed: 05-12-23
I would like to think I am 1 of the number 1 fans of this book series. I love how well written the MC Jason Asano is, and all the characters! I marvel some times on how the author thinks of the quips and flow of the story. It's so smooth and natural. The narrator helps a lot with that, but that being said the overall story is starting to lose me to be honest.
The first few books were so in depth with the powers and descriptions I absolutely loved reading about his progression thru his levels. How each power worked, it was amazing how the author thought of it all to me quite frankly.
Now it's seems like it is so far away from what the series started out like. It was as much litRPG as story to me before, now it's far more a story than litRPG if you know what I mean. This book came back a little bit, but no where as much as the first few books. It used to break down every essence, power, level and effects. But all 20 or more powers, it was so fascinating!
Well it's still a great series, I'll keep getting books, but I hope they come back to the basics which were phenomenal!

Jason Asano, I am guessing the spelling since I've never seen the name written. Probably the most well written character I've ever known in a book. The humor and whit is just do me.
Heath Miller hits a home run with this book series as well. Heath Miller IS Jason Asano. I don't think anyone could do him like Heath at this point. I have enjoyed the first half of the series better than the second half do far BUT it's all good. Most definitely worth it to buy!

Story
Infinite Worlds is the most popular VRMMORPG on the market. Its maps are so vast, developer Hard Rock Data utilizes a network of highly advanced artificial intelligences to control it. But it’s not without problems. That’s why Game Masters like Jeff Driscoll have jobs. The downside? He’s not allowed to play the game. Something about conflicts of interest and favoritism. His very boring and tedious job is to help players deal with the occasional bug that slips through the cracks and ensure they enjoy their time playing enough to give a five-star rating.

Pretty good book series. Always love Nick Podehl, one of, if not my favorite narrator. He has the best range of voices IMO. The story is pretty good. Has strong RPG elements and terms. I think if your a gamer, you will enjoy this book. I mean the author referenced Leroy Jenkins for christ sake roflol! But I do have to say I have heard a few litRPG books now and this isn't the best, but it is good hence 4/5 stars.

A very poor copy of "Chronicle" hard to understand
Reviewed: 03-17-23
This book was a real struggle to finish. The only reason why I did was because Heath Miller is a good narrator.
The story is bad, so much in this book was just written so badly. Take for instance the classes of people. Picture a Rogon, a Zulap, and a Fornar. Can't picture them, then you have a small preview of what this book is like. The writer wanted to come up with new names to races or creatures (I guess) but didn't realize that then you need context! The reason why people say Elf, Dwarf, Human, is because people know what those things are. God it was so bad.
The story pacing was horrible. And even Heath Miller seemed off the mark in his tone during some of the book. Exclamations that just fell flat. I swear the author read or listened to "Chronicle" by Kevin Murphy, which is an absolutely excellent litRPG series. So good! This is a really poor imitation, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR A CREDIT!
