Story
Mercy has friends in low places—and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind. But this new vampire is hardly ordinary—and neither is the demon inside of him. When the undead and the werewolves sent to find him don’t return, the local vampire queen turns to Mercy for help. A coyote is no match for a demon, but Mercy is determined to get her friends back—including the two werewolves circling around her heart.

Mercy Thompson is a shapeshifter, and while she was raised by werewolves, she can never be one of them, especially after the pack ran her off for having a forbidden love affair. So she’s turned her talent for fixing cars into a business and now runs a one-woman mechanic shop in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State.

The graphic audio book is similar to but not the same as the book for this version. For instance, in the book at the end of chapter 4, Mercy in coyote form follows the scent of the human out of Adam’s house until the burnt rubber smell is gone then returns to Adam’s house to load him I the VW; the leaving the house in attempt to track Jessie was left out of the graphic audio book version. The casting was good, just not what I had in mind for the original audio book version.

Wild ride
Reviewed: 09-11-24
What a wild ride! Spell gone awry. A supernatural partner and ordinary human brought together under a unique circumstance. The curse is a real reoccurring nightmare & would have driven me insane. The love connection though is sweet and the intimate scenes toe curling. The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Story
It’s not easy serving Chernobog, the God of Destruction, Darkness and Death…especially during the holidays; and especially when you’re out of eggnog and one of your pesky, freeloading mythic creatures has eaten your last cookie. Roman would like nothing more than to be left alone, but when a wounded boy stumbles into his yard and begs for sanctuary, Roman takes him in. Now elite mercenaries are camped out on his property, combat mages are dousing the house with fire, and strange priests are unleashing arcane magic.

Story
It was supposed to be easy: find the drug maker. Find her, and drag her back to the dragons to deal with. She deserves death for what she's done. For someone like Weston, the best alpha in the world, the one who shuts people up just by walking in the room, it would've been. Until he learns what she is. Finding a fated mate is nearly impossible. Very few are able to do it. But the call of their bond is unmistakable. Against all odds, and in the worst situation imaginable, he's found his true mate. Her.

Yowzer!!

Woooowwww! This story was a very hot to trot little red riding hood paranormal retelling. The multiple points of view and a Breeneized wickedly spicy smexiness had me laughing out loud one moment, grabbing a tissue the next minute, and wanting to yell ‘what the hell’ during the next chapter. Daaaanng!! Love a book that runs the emotional gamut. ACOC is quite a wild entertaining ride that had me thinking about the book each time I had to pause listening. Definitely recommend this series. The book could be enjoyed on its own. Grab a copy, your favorite drink, and settle down for a freaking awesome listen! The narrators did a fantastic job!

Story
My name is Mercy Thompson Hauptman, and my mate, Adam, is the werewolf who leads the Columbia Basin Pack, the pack charged with keeping the people who live and work in the Tri-Cities of Washington State safe. It’s a hard job, and it doesn’t leave much room for side quests. Which is why when I needed to travel to Montana to help my brother, I intended to go by myself.

The performance was great

My first thought regarding this book upon finishing was “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I’m disappointed that I paid for this audiobook and didn’t rent it through the public library first. The story felt like a series filler, which is disappointing given the printing & production delays. Ugh! Fractured storytelling with way too much jumping around; some didn't add to the overall storyline (fluff). Definitely didn’t have the normal Mercy Thompson feel.

Story
It isn’t often that Kate Daniels and the Beast Lord Curran get to take a break from protecting their pack and enjoy some time for themselves. So when Curran offers Kate a romantic dinner in town, there’s no way she’s going to pass. But their quiet night doesn’t stay quiet for long. The trouble starts with a necromancer dying at a nearby table, continues with bloodthirsty vampires crashing through the windows, and ends with more blood on the walls than any dining establishment needs.

Story
Emily "Tock" Meyerson-Jackson is on a mission to rid the world of shifters trafficking humans for hunting and cash. And now that she's narrowed down her suspects to a brutal coalition of male lions, nothing will get between this honey badger and her prey—not even a dog-loving Tiger with absolutely no time management skills. Doesn't matter that Shay Malone is ferociously adorable. With a war brewing between cat families, Tock doesn't have time to lounge around with a football-playing tiger shifter.
